PREPAID DOWNLOAD License

Why a Prepaid Download License ?

Only pay for use
Access to all journal content of www.scientific.net
Easy to manage
No risk
FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT:
Cost savings subscriptions@scientific.net

TTP offers a new and flexible way to access content on www.scientific.net:

The prepaid download license! Only pay for the actual use of engineering and
materials sciences content.
The license offers organizations unlimited access to the scientific.net databases on a
prepaid pay-per-use basis at a more favorable rate than the current pay per view or doc-del
prices offered by document delivery providers.
And it is perfectly suitable for customers having no access to current scientific.net
content or even in addition to current subscriptions and/or purchased collections.
This is of huge value to any organisation with information needs in Engineering and/
or Materials Sciences such as project teams, interdisciplinary product development, R&D, in
reality anyone interested in different articles from different journals but with no apparent need
for a full subscription to these journal titles.
Both large(r) and medium/smaller sized organisations/corporations are offered this
new type of license. As the number of prepaid downloads can be limited to a relatively small
number, also specific smaller departments can make use of this License.
The model is rather simple :

Users will be allowed access under IP access to the full text in the database when
doing their searching.
The prepaid articles are available at lower pricing schemes, compared to the official
single price on the website*, such as:
25 / 50 / 75 / 100 / 200 / and custom quotes for quantities above 200
Prepaid articles have an “expiry date” of 1 year which means that the number of
articles ordered need be downloaded before this date.
Articles remain available for personal use and cannot be stored in corporate
repositories.
The prepaid download license! Only pay for the actual use of engineering and
materials sciences content.

* Regular price for articles via credit card purchasing on www.scientific.net is EURO 39.00

Founded in 1967 in Switzerland, Trans Tech Publications Ltd. keeps up to date with and
endorses the latest trends in academic publishing. The editorial and publishing processes
are supported by our own online management and publishing system integrated into the
Scientific.Net website.

The trademark, Scientific.Net, was created by the company and represents one of the largest
web resources providing high-demand content focused on science and engineering themes.
Each year thousands of new academic publications enrich the Scientific.Net collection. It
includes academic journals and book series that publish regular and special issues, volumes,
conference proceedings, and monographs.

Top-rated higher educational and research institutions as well as consortia representing

entire countries subscribe to the Scientific.Net online library. Paperback books are sold all
over the world through numerous agents and distributors. Modern technology allows our
customers to reach the online content through mobile devices and enjoy the advantages of
an eBook format. The resource has gained popularity due to the single papers purchase
option which serves the needs of individual scientists striving to obtain particular research
papers of their interest.

Alongside with the traditional subscription-based model, Trans Tech Publications Ltd. has
introduced optional Open Access publication for authors who want their work to be
distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. The amount
and use of freely accessible content on Scientific.Net is constantly growing.

Trans Tech Publications Ltd. strives to meet the high expectations of customers and partners
via efficient service and high-quality products.
