If you are visiting a different state other than the vehicle-registered state, you would need to pay Border TAX while
entering the state, since this will be a Commercial Vehicle.

MORTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways of India) has introduced to pay the TAX online in advance to
your journey by visiting the webpage - https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/checkpost/# and following simple steps
further.

Step 1: On the homepage, please click the option Border Tax Payment and from dropper select Tax Payment

Step 2: On next page, select the Visiting State and in second option select VEHICLE TAX COLLECTION (OTHER
STATE)

** Currently Not All States as are listed by MORTH **

Step 3: After clicking GO, on the next page enter vehicle registration number and click Get Details
Step 4: Some fields will be prefilled, rest balance details need to be entered by you, like your Mobile number,
Service Type, Owner Type & Maker Status. Tax Mode needs to be selected as offered for different states and
Barrier Name you would be entering.

Step 5: After completing the required fields, click on Calculate Tax and then Pay Tax to complete the transaction.
