Introduction

 What is social media management?


Social media management is the process of handling a person’s or a brand's online presence on
platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. It involves creating content, interacting with
followers, strategy development, checking how well posts are doing, and planning strategies to
make the online presence more effective and engaging.
Overall, social media management aims to create and maintain a compelling online presence
while engaging with the audience to achieve business objectives.

 The evolution of social media management

Social media has changed a lot over time! In the beginning, it was mostly for chatting with
friends. But then, businesses started using platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to talk
to customers. They realized they could build their brands there.

New tools came up to help businesses manage their social media better. These tools let them plan
when to post things, see what people liked, and target specific groups.

Later on, videos became really popular, and famous people started promoting stuff. Platforms
like Instagram and TikTok became big deals, changing how people use social media. Instead of
just sharing things, it became more about making real connections with people.

Nowadays, managing social media is about more than just posting. It’s about using data, talking
with customers, and being ready to change when things on social media change. The future looks
exciting too, with things like AI, fancy technology, and more shopping options making social
media even more interesting!

 The role of a social media manager

A social media manager is like the leader of a ship sailing through the internet! They plan and
guide how a company appears on social media.

Firstly, they make a plan. They decide what to post and when to post it, so the right people see it.
They also check what works and what doesn’t, so they can make the posts even better.

They’re also the friendly face of the company online. They talk with customers, answer their
questions, and make sure the company looks good online.

Behind the scenes, they use special tools to decide when to post things and see how well they’re
doing. They’re always looking for new ideas to keep the company’s social media exciting.
In short, they’re like superheroes! They keep the company’s social media going well, making
sure everyone likes what they see.

History

Kaavyapedia, a non-profit organization established in 2020 by Mr. Anshuman Aryav and co-
founded by renowned poet Mr. Ankit Maurya, operates from its headquarters in Hajipur, Bihar.
Since its inception, Kaavyapedia has been dedicated to the promotion and celebration of poetry
as an art form.

The organization has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape, notably through its
successful execution of various poetry events. One of its prominent events, ‘Bayar,’ held earlier
this year in Patna, stands as a testament to its commitment to fostering a love for poetry across
the country.

Kaavyapedia’s significant impact extends beyond physical events. Leveraging the power of
social media, the organization has showcased a remarkable growth trajectory. From reaching 10
million people across various platforms in 2021, Kaavyapedia’s social media reach witnessed
exponential growth, doubling to an impressive 20 million by 2023. This surge is indicative of the
organization’s profound influence and the resonance of its poetic endeavors within the online
community, marking a remarkable milestone in its journey of sharing the beauty and depth of
poetry with a wider audience.
About the organization

Kaavyapedia is an online hub passionate about Indian literature and stories. It’s a place where we
celebrate and share the incredible tales, poems, and writings that come from the diverse and
culturally vibrant Indian subcontinent. This platform brings together people who appreciate and
enjoy these literary treasures from different parts of India, fostering a connection with our rich
literary heritage
.
One of the remarkable things about Kaavyapedia is its incredible reach! Every month, through
social media, it connects with an extensive audience of over 20 million people. That’s a lot of
folks interested in the stories and writings we share!

We strongly believe that literature isn’t just about words; it’s the heartbeat of all art forms. It’s
the stories we read, the narratives we watch on screen, and even the melodies we hear in music.
Literature weaves its magic into every aspect of artistic expression, and at Kaavyapedia, we
celebrate this connection.

Our mission isn’t just about preserving these stories; it’s also about celebrating them and

Ankit Maurya, One of the rising stars of new generation Indian ghazal. Alongside his poetry
journey, he’s also the co-founder of “Kaavyapedia,” where he provides a platform for budding
poets of the new generation. Ankit’s work not only involves his passion for ghazal music but also
extends to nurturing and supporting emerging poets, giving them a stage to showcase their
creativity and talent.
Work details

Week 1

On my first day, I engaged in an informative discussion with my supervisor, where we discussed


in detail the roles and responsibilities associated with managing their social media platforms. The
initial week served as an intensive training phase. During this period, my supervisor provided
comprehensive guidance on multiple facets, including content editing, research techniques, and
the overall management of social media channels. As the week progressed, I took on the
responsibility of curating and posting content on both Instagram and the Facebook page,
applying the skills and insights gained through the insightful briefing sessions.

Week 2

My focus remained on maintaining a consistent posting schedule and promptly responding to


comments and messages from the audience, ensuring their feedback was addressed.
Simultaneously, I conducted content research by delving into books, Websites like hindwi,
rekhta and various Instagram handles of poets. This comprehensive approach allowed for
engaging interaction, strategic partnerships, and the creation of well-informed and compelling

content for my audience.

Week 3

I dedicated time to ongoing research tasks and undertook post designing activities, primarily
utilizing “Canva” for creating visually appealing content. My process involved conducting
research and crafting posts. Subsequently, I would submit the content to my supervisor for
approval, ensuring alignment with established guidelines and standards. This approach facilitated
a streamlined workflow, allowing for thorough research, creative content production, and
adherence to quality control measures under supervision.

Weeks 4

In last week, I concentrated on video editing, specifically editing reels for Instagram and
Facebook through InShot and Canva. Additionally, I scheduled collaborations with influential
Instagram pages to expand outreach and enhance content visibility.

Learning outcomes

Over the span of this one-month internship, I had an incredible chance to dive into the world of
social media management. It was like unlocking a treasure chest of knowledge. I got to explore
different parts of it like finding content, making posts, creating designs, figuring out when to post
things, and even how to get more people to see what we were sharing. Something really cool I
did was teaming up with others on Instagram to share stuff together and reaching way more
people than I could’ve imagined! It was like a big, fun collaboration that made our content reach
so many more folks out there. It was an awesome experience that opened my eyes to how cool
and powerful social media can be!
Conclusion

To conclude my internship experience at Kaavyapedia, Throughout this one-month


internship, I had the chance to dive into the world of social media management. I
got to learn a lot about different parts of it, like finding good content, making new
content, creating designs, posting things, managing how many people see it, and
even how to advertise effectively. Beyond just learning these tasks, I’ve also
picked up on how to behave professionally in a work setting and had some great
conversations with my supervisor and other experienced team members. This
whole experience really helped me understand what I’m good at and what I enjoy
doing. It’s like finding new doors that are now open for me, giving me a clear idea
of what I’m good at and what I can do in the future.
