Women empowerment can be defined as promoting women's
sense of self worth their ability to determine their own
choices and their right to influence social change for
themselves and others

In western countries female empowerment is often

associated with specific phases of the women's right
movement in history this movement tends to split into three
waves, the first beginning in the 19th and early 20 century
where suffrage was a key feature

The second wave of the 1960s included the sexual revolution

and the role of women in society. Third wave feminism is
often seen as beginning in the 1990s.
WHAT IS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Women empowerment is a process in which we are
giving women the means, chances, and resources
to develop their potential.

By giving them resources and chances they acquire

a sense of autonomy and self-worth.

practices that traditionally make difficult women's
full participation in various aspects of life, such as
work, education, and decision-making .

By Achieving women’s empowerment we cultural

shifts addressing gender based inequality financial
assistance and educational programs

autonomy and rights, contributing to the creation of
a more just and equal society

As per shown in the picture we can clearly explain
that Political empowerment supports creating policies that
best support gender equality and agency for women in both
the public and private spheres.

women will be less likely to be selected to lead and be

involved in politics to make decisions.

Women's political participation is a fundamental paces

prerequisite for gender equality and genuine democracy.

It facilitates women's direct engagement in public

decision-making and is a means of ensuring bottler
accountability for women.

women have been unable to become leaders in their communities

due to financial, social and legal constraints
LEGAL EMPOWERMENT
legal empowerment can help women to secure property rights,
access education, and healthcare, and protect themselves from
violence and exploitation.

It can also provide women with a platform to mise Chuin voices

and participate in decision-making making

Nowadays women are increasingly gaining control over their lives

and are actively making their own decisions with
regard their education, career, lifestyle, and profession.

According to provisions of the constitution of India, it is a legal

point to grant equality for women in society in all spheres Just like
males have.

Empowering women is the main motto of the devlopment

department because on empowered mother with child makes the
bright future of any nation.
ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
When women have right skills and opportunities, they
can help businesses and market grow.

Women who are economically empowered contribute

more to their families, societies and national
economies.

It has been shown that women invest extra income in

their children, providing a route to sustainable
development.

Women empowerment as an economic, political and

sociocultural process challenges the system of sexual
stratification that has resulted in women's
subordination and marginalization in order to improve
women's quality of life.
SOME OF THE CHALLENGES FACED
BY WOMEN IN INDIA

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DOWERY SYSTEM

CHILD MARRIAGE
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Domestic violence as per shown in the pictures.
Women have been oppressed for a long time
.Women are brutally tortured.

Domestic violence can be defined as a pattern of

behaviour in any relationship that is used to gain or
maintain power or control over an intimate partner.

Women are being abused in various forms such as

physical violence emotional manipulation, financial
control , sexual abuse and verbal aggression.

To protect the women from Domestic violence

parliament Introduce an Act In 2005 . it was Brought
into force by Indian Govt and Ministry of Women and
child development on 26th oct 2005
CHILD MARRIAGE
Child marriages violates human rights depriving children especially
girls of their childhood and fundamental freedoms

Early marriage increases health issues such as complications during

pregnancy and childbirth for under-age brides.

Many child marriages occur due to cultural traditions, poverty, lack

of education, and gender equality due to this the child faces
emotional and psychological challenges.

Age of marriage: Establishing a legal minimum age of 18years for

women and 21 years for men to present unions involving minors.

Education Initiatives: Promoting education for girls, policies focusing

on ensuring access to equal education for girls can delay marriage by
empowering them with knowledge and skills.

Legal Reforms: Amending existing laws or creating new legislation to

child protection and prohibit underage marriage. This includes laws
that punish those involved in arranging or facilitating child marriages
.
DOWRY SYSTEM
India has by the far highest number of dowry related that
in the world according to Indian national crime record
Bureau. In 2012, 8,233 dowry death cases will reported
across India. This means a bride was burned every 90
minutes or dowry issues caused 1.4 that per year per

by 14.4% over 1998 level (7,146), while India's population
grew at 17.6% over the 10 year period. The accuracy of

CONCLUSION
Here, I have come to the end of this project on the topic of women Empowerment. I
would like to share my experience while doing this. I learned many things about
this topic. Women represent a new half of the world's population and gender,
inequality exists in every nation on the planet. Until women are given the same
opportunities as men in Entire Societies will be destined to perform below their true
potentials. The greatest need of the hour change in Social attitudes to Women.
Experience has shown that addressing gender equality and women's
Empowerment requires strategic interventions at all levels of mass media
programming and policy-making. Even though discrimination against and
exploitation of women are global phenomena their consequences are more tragic
around the globe particularly. The dream of women’s empowerment shall not be
fulfilled unless they are empowered to play equal decisive and appropriate roles in
the family, which is the basic unity unit of empowerment. While working on this
project I enjoyed every bit of making this. It was a wonderful learning experience
for our group.a very special thanks to my teachersfor setting such targets for us .
