This document summarizes the functionality of the version 2000 - 5 of COVADIS

for Windows developed by G�om�dia.

COVADIS is a software that functions with AUTOCAD. He/it offers a lot of
possibilities, notably in the domain of the topography and the road network.
He/it perfectly integrates to the interface of AUTOCAD and permits:
To do the topographic calculations (details, leveling, intersection,
progress, radiance,�..);
To insert and to draw seedlings of topographic points;
To draw the curves of level on the basis of a land model generated by the
software himself;
To dress the plan previously with a scale definite;
To generate some profiles in long and across the natural land and the
project;
To do some cubatures;
To conceive and to proportion the V.R.D;
Etc.
In the domain of the topography, he/it creates a high resolution of the
diagrams (curves of level, polygon, profiles,�) in 2 or 3 measurements. These
diagrams can be visualized to the screen or printed.
The software has a rich library of symbols, of police, of pr�visualisation of
the drawing and on line help to which one can make call.
Thanks to easy menus to understand, COVADIS puts at the disposal of the user of
the options to create some plans to part of X coordinates, THERE and Z. from
the seedling of points creates thus, he can generate different profiles
according to definite axes. The prerecorded default parameters permit to get
the plan, profile,� from data. The user can be content with the default
options. He/it stays however the possibility to personalize which of these
options.
COVADIS possesses other feature permitting of:
- to read or to publish some X coordinates, THERE and Z;
- to give an automatic scale to a plan;
- to put in page the plans and realized profiles;
- to make topographic calculations (polygonal progress, points radiated,
intersection, triangulation,�);
- to read or to export the notebook of survey with a total station notably"
SOKKIA, NIKON, LEICA,� ";
- to digitize;
- to conceive and to proportion networks of V.R.D;
- Etc.
All orders of COVADIS execute themselves either to the keyboard, either with
the mouse.

The present document summarizes for information only as guide, the concepts and
the manipulation of basis that interest the topographer or geometer. It is
about notably of:
- Insertion and drawing of topographic point seedlings on the basis of a TN
file;
- To draw curves of level;
- Drawing of the objects of land (limits of fences, slope,�) and dressing of
the plan;
- Drawing of the profiles in long of the natural land and the project.
