 Preface
The information provided in this manual is generic in nature and is intended as an aid in
the installation and operation of hot dehulling and warm dehulling equipment.
Successful plant operation depends largely upon the operator’s skill and understanding of
the equipment, and as such, the customer is responsible for familiarizing itself with this
information, tailoring the information as the customer deems necessary or appropriate to
operate and maintain the customer's equipment, and operating and maintaining the
customer's equipment in accordance with this information, as adapted by the customer.

The information contained in this manual is based upon typical characteristics of the
equipment and input into the equipment, and should not be considered to be
specifications. All of the information in this manual is offered in good faith, but without
guarantee, as conditions and methods of use of the equipment are beyond the control of
Crown Iron Works Company. Crown Iron Works Company will not be liable for any

Much effort has been made to make Crown Iron Works equipment as simple and as
automatic as possible. Whenever this much machinery is assembled, however, one must
expect difficulties to appear from time to time. By understanding the equipment an
operator may prevent trouble before it happens or solve a problem when one does arise
without outside assistance. Proper supervision must be provided at all times.
