What is Informix?

IBM Informix® is a fast and flexible

database with the ability to seamlessly
integrate SQL, NoSQL/JSON, and time series and spatial data. Its
versatility and ease of use make Informix a preferred solution for a wide
range of environments, from enterprise data warehouses to individual
application development. Also, with its small footprint and self-managing
capabilities, Informix is well suited for embedded data-management
solutions.

no schema changes. This allows you to automate your data management

With a silent installation and small footprint that requires just 100 MB of

capabilities make it ideal as an embedded data management solution.
Informix can be up and running in minutes.

When you install the IBM® Informix® database servers, you can also
install related products, such as client APIs and other IBM products.

Diagram shows Informix as core of the database system, with the

following options: BladeManager, two DataBlade products, SPL, and two
UDRs. Client, development, and administration tools, and DataBlade
modules, are outside of Informix core.

package includes installation programs for some or all of the following
