assessing power generation capabilities. Previously, a subjective on-site visit by a
surveyor determined rooftop area, making proposal creation a time-consuming task
for the sales team. This approach was replaced with machine learning utilizing
satellite imagery. The satellite images of customer premises were analyzed using
deep learning neural networks with back propagation to precisely identify and
compute available rooftop area. Additionally, the system suggested structural
changes, if feasible, to optimize power generation potential. This innovative solution
replaced the offline process, which used to take 3-6 months, with a fully automated
procedure completing in under 120 minutes. This not only expedited the proposal
generation but also significantly enhanced the accuracy and efficiency of assessing
solar power generation capabilities.
