SECTION A
Instruction: Answer ALL questions from this section.
Keisha is a 29 year old professional and mother, who considers herself quite ambitious.
Although she has a stable job, she believes that the opportunities for promotions and growth on
the job may be limited, Additionally, she often complains that she is struggling to make ends
meet, and often has to resort to borrowing in order to meet her monthly obligations. As a
mother, Keisha values spending quality time with her daughter, Erin who is 9 years old, and tries
her best to be there for her child, However, her daughter’s teacher has made several complaints
to Keisha that Erin has been falling behind in class especially in the area of reading, and has
exhibited several antisocial behaviours among her peers. The teacher reported that on one
occasion, Erin told a male classmate that she was going to punch him in the face like her
mommy did to her daddy. Keisha soon began to become very upset whenever Erin’s teacher
‘would make a complaint, and instead of talking to Erin about her behaviour or seeking
assistance, Keisha began doing research on conduct disorders in children. She has made several
attempts to explain why Erin may be acting out at school. Keisha and Frin’s father have a
visiting relationship. The visits from Erin’s father have become less in the last 3 months, and
when he visits, the parent regularly engage in verbal or physical battles. One day while at work,
Keisha began crying and venting her frustrations to a colleague.
