Re-use of genuine SUZUKI parts and accessories The resale or re-use ofthe following items which could cause hazards for users is expressly forbidden: + Air bag components and all other pyrotechnic items, including their components (e.g. cushion, control devices and sensors) + Seat belt eyetem, including their components (e.g. webbing, buckles and retractore) The air bag and seat belt pretensioner components contain explosive chemicals. These components should be removed and disposed of propery by SUZUKLauthorized service shop or Scrap yard to avoid unintended expiosion before scrapping. “The parts remanufactured under SUZUKI's approval can be used as genuine SLZUKI parts in Europe. FUEL RECOMMENDATION Fuel recommendation seat Bee@) ,, Besa EO TERR To avoid maging the calle converter you must use unleaded gasoline with an ‘octane number (RON) of 94 or higher (or 95 or higher if itis stated on the fuel fller lid), which comply with the European stan- dard £N228, These vehicles are also iden- tified by a label attached near the fuel filler pipe that states: "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY”, "NUR UNVERBLEITES BENZIN" “ENDAST BLYFRI BENSIN" or “SOLO ‘GASOLINA SIN PLOMO” 141 Gasoline-ethanol blends Blends of unleaded gasoline and ethanol {Grain alcoho), also known as gasohol, are commercially available In cortain areas. Bienes of this type may be used in your vehicle they are no more than 10% etha- nal. Check that this gasoline-etharcl blend has octane ratings no lower than those recommended forthe gasoline. Use the recommended gasoline which conforms to the following lat ©-@ NOTE: Ifyou are not satistied with the drveability ‘fuel economy of your vehicle when you uuse a gasoline-alcohol blend, you should switch back to unleaded gasoline contain- Jing n9 alcohol. Gasoline containing MTBE (where legally available) Unleaded gasoline containing MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) may be used in your vehicle if the MTBE content is not {greater than 15%. This oxygenated fue! {oes not contain alcohol. NOTICE ‘The fuel tank has an air space to allow for fuel expansion in hot weather. if you continue to add fuel after the filler nozzle has automatically shut off or an initial blowback occurs, the air chamber will bocome full. Exposure to heat when fully fuelled in this man- ner will result in loakago due to fuel expansion. To prevent such fuel teal age, stop filling after the filler nozzl has’ automatically shut off, or when initial vent blowback occurs, if using an alternative non-automatic system. NOTICE Bo careful not to spill fuol containing alconol while refueling. if fuel i spilled on the vehicle body, wipe it up immediately. Fuels containing alco hol can cause paint damage, which is, not covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Keep the spare key in a safe place. ‘One key can open all of the locks on the vehicle. ‘The key identification number is stamped ‘on a metal tag provided with the keys or on the keys. Keep the tag {if equipped) in a safe place. If you lose your keys, you will need his number to have new keys made, Write the number below for your future ret- erence. KEV NUMBER: 24 ‘This system ‘designed to help prevent vehice theft by electronically disabling the congine starting eystem. ‘The engine can be started only with your vehicle's original immoblizer ignition key or keyless push start system remote con- troller, which has an electronic ientifica- tion code programmed into it. The key or remote controller communicates the ident fication code to the vehicle when the igni- tion switch is turned to "ON" position or the gine switch is pressed to change the ignition mode to ON. If you need to make Spare keys or remote controllers, see your ‘SUZUKI dealer. The vehicle musi be pro- grammed with’ the correct identification ‘code for the spare. A key made by an ordi- nary leckemith will not work. = sane If the immobilizerikeyless push start sys- tem warning light blinks when the ignition switch is in “ON” position or the ignition mode is ON, the engine will not star. NOTICE Do not modify or remove the immobi- izer system. If modified or removed, the system cannot be properly oper: ated. NOTE: + If the immoblizer/keyless push start sys- tem warning light blinks or comes on, a ‘message may be shown on the informa- tion display. + This immobilizer system is maintenance- free. For vehicles without a keyless push start system If ths light blinks, turn the ignition switch to *LOCK™ position, and then turn it back to “ON" position. If the light stil blinks after the ignition switch is turned back to "ON" position, there may be something wrong with your key of with the immobilizer system. Ask your SUZUKI desler to have the system Inspected. BEFORE DRIVING For vehicles with a keyless push start system ff this light blinks, change the ignition mode to LOCK (OFF), and then change it back to ON, Also refer to ‘if the master warning Indicator light blinks and the engine cannot be started” in “Starting engine (vehicle with keyless push start system)’ in the "OPER ATING YOUR VEHICLE” section. If the light sill blinks after the ignition mode is changed back to ON, there may be something wrong with your key or with the immobilizer system. Ask your SUZUKI
