®@ Why can't we use PT bus for control supply?? Firstly, the voltage level required for feeder control supply may not be 110V AC (which happens to be the voltage level of the PT output). Secondly, even if the voltage level was same, yet, the PT is not designed to cater to the VA burden requirement of the various components. Generally, PTs are available as 25VA, SOVA, 100VA or at max 200VA. However, VA burden requirement for a switchboard ranges anything upwards of SOOVA, typically upto SkVA.
