Requirements for the Axel Adler Scholarship 2024


The University of Gothenburg offers Axel Adler Scholarship 2024. To be eligible for Axel Adler
Scholarship:
• You are required to pay tuition fees in Sweden.
• You need to apply for an international campus-based programme at the University of
Gothenburg, as your first priority.
• You have applied and been admitted to a full-time Master programme or Bachelor programme
(for Bachelor Programme only Software Engineering, International Relations and Business
and Economics) at the University of Gothenburg.
• You can only be eligible for the scholarship for the programme that is your first priority at the
University of Gothenburg on the 15th of January 2024 in the international admission round at
www.universityadmission.se.
• You have submitted your application for studies by 15 January 2024 and paid the application
fee and documented your eligibility for studies by 1 February 2024 through
universityadmissions.se.

Conditions for the Axel Adler Scholarship 2024


• The Axel Adler Scholarship covers the tuition fee for the whole programme a student has have
been admitted to. This means 4 semesters/120 credits for Master programmes (with the
exception for master’s programme in Investigative Journalism which is 2 semesters/60 credits)
and 6 semesters/180 credits for Bachelor programmes. The Axel Adler Scholarship does not
cover living and accommodation expenses.
• Scholarship holders are covered by FAS+, which is an insurance issued under the authority of
the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Service Agency (Kammarkollegiet). You
will find the terms and conditions for the FAS+ insurance in the attachment and on the website
of Kammarkollegiet.
• To keep your scholarship, you must complete at least 75% of the semester’s credits. There are
regular follow ups conducted.
• The scholarship will be revoked if the scholar does not start in time or continues with their
studies at the University of Gothenburg following the rules and regulations for studies at the
University of Gothenburg.

If you are suspended from your studies, your scholarship can be withdrawn.
• If you are rewarded the scholarship, it is important to apply for a residence permit for studies
by the Swedish Migration Agency as soon as possible. In order to be granted a residence
permit for studies by the Swedish Migration Agency, you have to show that you have financial
means to support yourself. You can find more information on Residence permit for studies in

• The scholarship is only valid if you receive a residence permit for studies from the Swedish
Migration Agency in time to start your programme.
