Fantasy Last Sunday Rulespack – 1000pts, 1500 & 2000pts
Introduction.
Playing the Tournament.
You will participate in four or five battles, each one against a different opponent. The first round, your opponent will be
selected randomly. After this, we will utilize the Swiss system by which the numbers one and two (in Command Points)
will face each other, the numbers three and four will face each other and so on. This is to ensure that the winner will, at
the end of five battles, will have overcome some steep opposition and achieved some hard won victories.
Note that in a 2000 points Tournament, we only play three or four battles, not five. So the maximum amount of
Command Points you can achieve varies.
After each battle, work out your Victory Points with your opponent as per the scenario rules and supply these scores
together at the Judges Table. Scores must be supplied within five minutes of the end of the round.
The Tournament Schedule Judge will show how long you have for each game. There is a tight schedule to keep so we’d
appreciate it if everyone would endeavour to follow the schedule as closely as possible. We cannot and will not lag
behind because of one or two players.
Bear in mind that you and your opponent will be playing the battle together. Onlookers and supporters cannot and may
not be involved in the battle. If there is a rules problem, you must get a Judge who will assist in the matter.
The Tournament Staff will not have any supplies needed for play. No spare codex, range ruler, dice or template to
borrow. No superglue, no Warhammer Annual and no movement trays! Everything you need to play the game, you
need to bring yourself.
The following list shows most of the things you’ll need to play Warhammer Fantasy but it does not claim to be
complete:
• Rulebooks, army book including Warhammer Annuals as well as any copies of White Dwarf which contain rules
you intend and are allowed to use.
• Templates.
• Tape measure or range rulers.
• Reference Sheets.
• Dice (including special ones!).
• 2 copies of your army list (also see Army Rosters), typed lists only!
• Your army.
• This rules pack.
All Tournament material will be published in English. Likewise, all rulebooks and such at the Tournament must be the
original UK edition.
Rules Issues.
In order to prevent minor rules disagreements from becoming full fledged arguments the following applies. As soon as a
rules question or disagreement occurs refer to the appropriate rulebook and look up the appropriate rule! There is
absolutely nothing wrong with looking up a rule if you are not sure about the exact wording or meaning or just
generally in doubt! Better look it up, find out you’re wrong and continue play in a friendly atmosphere instead of not
looking it up, continue play in disagreement, lose horribly and find out you were correct after all.
Still, as anyone can tell you, the rulebook doesn’t cover every situation that arises on the tabletop or sometimes you just
can’t agree with your opponent how to apply a certain rule. In this case you have two options, one is to simply roll a
dice to see who is ‘right’ in this case. The other is to call over an Judge who will resolve the matter by either showing
you the relevant rule in the rulebook, or by making a dice roll. In both cases the Judge’s word is final and you cannot
enter into a debate, even though one side will be certain the judging is unfair and hopelessly biased.

Fantasy Last Sunday Rulespack – 1000pts, 1500 & 2000pts
To resolve brewing arguments and to prevent any abuse of the rules a very simple card system is in use during a Fanatic
Tournament. Yellow and Red Cards will be used as a warning system. A yellow card is given as a warning to a player
and results in a five point penalty on his Tournament Score. A Red Card means that you are excluded from further
participation in the Last Sunday Tournament and are required to abandon the hall at once without being entitled to any
form of refund or compensation.
The decision to give a Yellow or Red Card is made by an Judge and is final.
So far, we never had any use for these rules and we hope to continue in this way. But, when all is said and done, we will
rather send one player away than let him spoil the fun for the rest!
Warm-Up.
Before every battle, both players are required to take a quick, five-minute warm-up period to discuss their respective
armies, the table top and its terrain and anything else they think might come along. Use this time well!
Scoring and Winning the Last Sunday Tournament.
During the Last Sunday Tournament you will score points for several categories, as detailed below. The winner of the
Tournament will be the player who, at the end of the day, scored the highest total.
Command Points (0 – 100 points) or (0 – 60/80 points)
Command Points are awarded for fighting and winning battles. Per battle a maximum of twenty Command Points can
be scored for a total and complete victory, depending upon the difference in Victory Points achieved. The exact division
can be found later in this section. The maximum total amount of Command Points that can be scored during the
Tournament is 100 points (for achieving a massive five massacres in a row).
After the battle you and your opponent should calculate the Victory Points you both scored. Command Points are based
on the difference by which you won or lost the scenario.
Work out your victory points as per Pitched Battle, and decide what degree of victory has been attained. Note that the
scores you register at the Judges Table should be the Command Points scored by both players!
Note that if a player concedes, regardless of cause, the game counts as a Massacre for his opponent with the minimum
score needed to achieve a Massacre (600 vs. 0) (or 1600 vs. 0 in a 2000 point match)

Army Painting & Presentation (0 – 20 points).
Army Painting & Presentation Points are allotted for the dedication you’ve put into the painting and presentation of
your army. However, your entire army must be painted and based. Even a single unpainted model (and everybody
knows what we mean by painted) results in a zero score for the Army Painting Category. The maximum score you can
achieve in the Army Painting Category is twenty points.
Army Painting (0 or 5).
If you entire army is painted and based you get five points for this. All models need to have at least 3 different colours
on them, excluding base coat and all bases need to be finished with either gravel or flock or some other finishing touch.
Army Roster (0 or 15).
You brought along a clear and usable Army Roster that contains all the information required for play.
By this we mean;
- typed
- all points should be noted
- points for units and upgrades/items should be noted
- all stats must be on the roster
- all special rules of items should be noted as well as army specific rules
Tournament Rules.
• No more than 1000 points may be used on your army. (or 1500/2000 points in a 1500/2000 points Tournament!!)
• Armies must follow the restrictions on army selection of their own army book.
• Dogs of War armies may be used as published in the Warhammer Annual 2004. Note that Dogs of War armies may
use regular units but not Regiments of Renown as specified in the rules. Other armies may also include Dogs of
War in any way but not Regiments of Renown.
• Weapons, armour options and upgrades chosen from the army list must be shown on the models themselves.
• No special characters are allowed, this includes Special Characters that may be used without your opponents
consent, such as Settra the Imperishable or Grimgor Ironhide. Special characters models may be used to represent

Scenarios.
Each game will use the Pitched Battle scenario, found on the first pages of the Warhammer Fantasy Rulebook. The
following additional notes are relevant:
Scenery.
This will be set up by the Judges and may not be changed/ moved.
Victory Points
Victory Points are scored in accordance to the Warhammer Fantasy Rulebook. This means you score victory points for:
- the units/characters worth in points costs if the unit/character is destroyed/fleeing/fled the table
- half the units/characters worth if the unit/character is at or below half strength but not wiped out and not
fleeing and hasn’t fled the table
- + 100 points for a slain/fleeing/fled the table enemy General
- + 100 points for a captured enemy Battle Standard Bearer
- + 100 points for captured enemy Banner
- + 100 points for claiming a table quarter
Claiming a table quarter;
Divide the table in four quarters, if you have a unit with at least Unit Strength 5 which is not fleeing and there is no
enemy unit with at least Unit Strength 5 which is not fleeing, you claim the quarter.
Note that the Judges will, somewhere during the day, award scores for Painting and Armylists. After the last battles, you
have to make sure that you add these scores with your other Command Points on your Score Sheet. When you have
written down your final score, give the Score Sheets to one of the Judges.
The Judges
The Judges have, as mentioned before, full jurisdiction during a tournament. When they are at the tournament, they
shall also be Judging the tournament. Remember, their word is final, for they are the Inquisition.
