Dear Sir/ Madam/ Miss/ Mister

My name is Nurul Izzaty Binti Rahman, a final year student from Universiti Teknologi MARA
(UiTM) Perak, Seri Iskandar campus. I am an active student from faculty of Architecture,
Planning and Surveying in Bachelor Science (Hons.) Construction Technology. My core subject
which is Innovation II with code of BCT 654 assigns me to propose an innovation idea on built-
offsite home in order to achieve the reliability and efficiency toward sustainability in
construction. As the flood in coastal area is one of the main causes of damages property, I am
proposing to build a floating portable house that has a floating tool on the sub-structure under
the house. As a closure, this survey is conducted to identify the marketability status for the
product that has been proposed.

Section C: The proposed innovation idea is a floating portable house to overcome the damages of
property when flood strike especially in East Coast of Malaysia. Since the purpose of this
Details of house to overcome the damages of property, so the house will sits on the ground during
the dry season and float during flood season. The house proposed has as a floating tool on
the sub-structure under the house where steel frame structure connected to the flotation
Proposed devices (EPS blocks ), and vertical poles attached to the steel frame structure to provide
Innovation resistance to wind and water lateral forces.
