GENERAL :-
1. THE CONSTRUCTION OF EQUIPMENT SHALL BE AS PER ASME SEC VIII DIV.1, SEC II. SEC V, SEC IX & OTHER APPLICABLE CODES.
2. ALL DIMENSIONS ARE IN MM, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
3. ALL FLANGES BOLT HOLES SHALL BE STRADDLE TO THE HORI./VERT. CENTER LINES OF EQUIPMENT.
4. STD. FLANGES SIZE UP TO 600NB SHALL BE AS PER ASME B16.5 & ABOVE 600NB AS PER ASME B16.47 SERIES B. UNLESS OTHERWISE AS PER DETAILS.
5. STD / NON STD FLANGES GASKET SEATING SURFACE SHALL HAVE 125 TO 250 AARH FINISH & SUITABLY PROTECTED DURING HANDLING.
6. NOZZLE PROJECTION ON SHELL/DISH SHALL BE TAKEN FROM OUTER SURFACE.
7. NOZZLES UP TO 50 NB SHALL BE STIFFENED WITH 2 GUSSETS 6T x 40W @ 90 DEG APART.
8. NOZZLE UP TO 300NB SHALL BE SEAMLESS & ABOVE CAN BE FABRICATED FROM PLATE & LONG SEAM SHALL BE 100% RT TESTED.
9. NOZZLE RF PADS, OTHER EXTERNAL PADS & SLIP ON FLANGES SHALL HAVE 1 TAPPED HOLE OF 1/4" NPT.
10. EQUIPMENT TOLERANCES SHALL BE AS PER QPS STD. MC-STD-001.
11. ALL REMOVABLE INTERNALS SHALL BE DESIGNED SO AS TO PASS THROUGH MANHOLE / BODY FLANGE.
12. SPARES- (A) 200% GASKET PER FLANGED JOINT (B) 10% OF BOLTS & NUTS (EACH SIZE) OR MIN. 2 NOS.
13. LIFTING LUGS/TRUNNIONS/TAILING LUGS AS PER QPS STD. OTHERWISE VENDOR TO DESIGN WITH IMPACT FACTOR OF 2.0
14. DEMISTER IS IN VENDOR'S SCOPE OF SUPPLY. DEMISTER DETAIL ATTACHED.

MATERIAL :-
1. ALL MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW AND UNUSED AND TOLERANCE ON THE THICKNESS OF THE PLATES SHALL BE POSITIVE ONLY.
2. THE CARBON CONTENT FOR MATERIAL SHALL NOT EXCEED 0.23%, EXCEPT FOR FORGINGS WHICH SHALL BE LIMITED TO 0.25% MAXIMUM & CEQ <=0.45%.
3. PRESSURE PARTS LIKE NOZZLE NECKS, PIPING, AND FITTINGS SHALL BE OF SEAMLESS CONDITION.
4. ALL FORGINGS/FLANGES SHALL BE IN NORMALIZED CONDITION.
5. PLATES (PRESSURE PARTS) THK. =>16mm & NON STD. FLANGES => 10" SHALL BE 100% UT TESTED.

FABRICATION ;-
1. INDICATED THICKNESS ARE MIN. ACCEPTABLE AFTER FABRICATION.
2. ALL BUTT WELD SHALL BE FULL PENETRATION WELD. THESE WELD SHALL BE BACK CHIPPED, DP CHECKED AND REWELDED.

3. ALL WELD SEAMS (LS & CS) SHALL BE ORIENTED TO CLEAR NOZZLE OPENING OR OTHER ATTACHMENTS. IF UNAVOIDABLE, 150mm RT AT BOTH SIDE OF THE SEAM SHALL BE PERFORMED.

EXAMINATION :-
1. SPOT RT MEANS 10% RT OF ALL JOINTS + ALL T-JOINTS & FULL RT MEANS 100% RT FOR ALL BUTT WELDS & NOZZLES =>10".
2. ALL PRESSURE PARTS WELD SHALL BE CHECKED BY PT/DP & DISH ENDS KNUCKLE REGION FROM INSIDE & OUTSIDE BEFORE/AFTER HYDRO TEST.

INSPECTION & TESTING :-


1. PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION AND HYDROSTATIC TEST, THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE VESSEL SHALL BE THOROUGHLY CLEANED AND SHALL BE FREE FROM ALL SLAG, SCALE, DIRT,
GRIT, WELD SPATTER, AND PIECES OF METAL PAINT AND OIL.
2. GASKET, BOLTS & NUTS USED FOR TEST SHOULD BE OF SAME MATERIAL AS THAT USED IN SERVICE.
3. CLEAN POTABLE WATER SHALL BE USED FOR HYDRO TEST. HYDROSTATIC TEST SHALL BE HELD FOR ONE HOUR MIN. TEMPERATURE SHALL BE BETWEEN 15-45° C.
4. VESSELS SHALL BE DRAINED IMMEDIATELY AFTER TESTING AND ANY REMAINING POCKETS OF WATER SHALL BE SWABBED DRY. THE VESSEL SHALL BE DRIED BY BLOWING AIR FOR A
CONTROLLED LIMITED PERIOD.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND PAINTING :-
1. EQUIPMENT SHALL BE SUPPLIED IN FINISHED CONDITION AND AS PER SELAN SPECIFICATION.
2. ALL SS INT/EXT SURFACES SHALL BE PICKELED & PASSIVATED AFTER HYDRO TEST.
