Interview Tableau Task

The excel file provided contains two data sets from one of our clients: Lipstick casino. Using the data
provided, replicate the visualizations shown but for this casino’s data.

The views do not need to match exactly the format shown, but if possible, try to get them as close as
you can. It is suggested that you first have a look at the data to familiarize yourself and to make any
interpretations where necessary before you start.

After completing these visualizations, construct any additional two new ones using any of the data
provided. Portray some statistics you think are interesting or that some particular characteristics of the
casino. Some other optional points to cover in these extra visualizations are:

➢ The use of a calculated field (if possible use a ‘’Fixed’’ statement in your calculation)
➢ The effective use of a parameter

You publish your work on Tableau online, or if you save it as a .twb file make sure to include any excel
files, modified or otherwise, that you have used as a datasource for your workbooks.
Table 1:

Use the data in the tab ‘Casino Data’ to replicate these graphs across all the available months provided
in the excel file. Note that converted players can be interpreted as ‘new players’ for this exercise.

Table 2:

Use the data in the tab ‘Casino Data’ to replicate these two graphs. Note that the green/red parts of the
visualization portray the quarterly % change.
Table 3.

Use the tab ‘Blackjack Data’ to recreate the following graphs, showing the data %’s for the same
categories (exclude any data from categories you don’t think match these). Instead of showing each pie
chart for quarter, instead represent the splits between morning and evening (ie 00:00:00-11:59:59 and
12:00:00-23:59:59)

Table 4.

Construct a similar table showing the ranks of each Game Category, however instead of using
continents, use countries for a comparison.
Tables 5, 6.

These are completely up to you!

However refer to the details included at the exercise introduction for some details we expect to see.
