Let me introduce myself, my name is Gilang Ramadhan. I graduated from the Faculty of
Geological Engineering, Padjadjaran University in November 2017.
Looking at the job vacancy information that I got from LinkedIn social media, your company
is currently opening several positions. I am interested in applying for a position as a Field
Engineer.
I have no experience as a Field Engineer in the oil and gas industry. However, I have
experience as a wellsite geologist in the mineral industry such as nickel and coal for 2 years,
which in detail is similar to the position offered. The scope of responsibility includes
monitoring drilling activities, core descriptions, sample preparation, and K3 implementation in
the field. I handle Jacro 300, SJR and YBM type drilling machines with an open hole system.
I also have other skills such as petrographic analysis, use of supporting software such as Arcgis,
Global Mapper, Surpac, QGIS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Corel
Draw.
Joining Halliburton is an opportunity that I really look forward to. I will learn a lot and take on
various challenges with the best team in this company. The position offered will best suit my
qualifications.
