Course Introduction and Objectives

Information Security is a specialized field in Information Technology (IT) which is regarded


as a sub stream in Computer Science. The Information Security course aims to equip
students with the knowledge and skills required to defend the computer operating
systems, networks and data from cyber-attacks. Students are given an understanding of the
taxonomy of information security. .

Prerequisites :

Programming fundamentals, Operating Systems, Computer Networks.
