is unique.
Differences in emergency situations call for differences in system solutions. Each emergency operation can vary in many
ways, whether it is the cause, the number of injuries or the external circumstances. Emergency personnel working
under great pressure have to handle new and difficult situations, react quickly and improvise again and again.

The demands on their equipment and resources include quick adaptation to particular conditions, easy operation and
reliable functioning. To satisfy those needs, we put all our products through quality checks
during the entire production process. Afterwards, maintenance, upkeep and repairs also
play a decisive role in preserving high-level quality.

We want to make sure you can do your work effectively and successfully around the clock and
around the world. To that end, we provide optimum conditions with our system solutions.
At anytime and anywhere you can rely on our products, service and availability.

MODUL CapnoVol
Ventilation monitoring in the right place.
WM 22460
During emergency and transport ventilation, the MODUL
CapnoVol provides safe, precise and sound monitoring of
expiratory tidal volumes and CO2 content in exhaled air.
Because the MODUL CapnoVol is affixed directly to the venti-
lator, there are no troublesome cables in the way. Operation is
both easy and comfortable, with only one connection to the
patient. The sensor cable and CO2 hose simply click onto the
MEDUMAT's patient hose system.

A20 Ventilation and Monitoring / Medumat Transport

Especially versatile
MEDUMAT Transport provides primary and second-
ary care for emergency and intensive-care transport
patients. The adjustable ventilation parameters guaran-
tee sufficient ventilation, specifically adapted to each
patient.

For the most suitable ventilation, the user can select Parallel display of three curves

from among five pressure-regulated and three volume-

regulated ventilation modes on MEDUMAT Transport.

A sensitive trigger and a flow adjustment increase

patient comfort in controlled and assisted ventilation
modes. The device allows the user to continue the initi-
ated clinical therapy during the transport.

Further support is supplied by ventilation monitoring,

which, in keeping with our philosophy, is always a com- Innovative emergency mode
ponent of the ventilator.

In addition to expiratory volume measurement,

MEDUMAT Transport is optionally available with inte-
grated capnography (CO2 measurement).

The MEDUMAT Transport functions and qualities include

clarity, simple and convenient operation and intuitive
user guidance. All of these things guarantee a device
that delivers top-level results with maximum reliability.
With the information on the following pages you‘ll be

Defibrillation B1

Defibrillation
Defibrillation technology for first aid providers and professional rescuers
When a heart stops, urgent help is needed within seconds. It can come from a plucky first aid helper or a profes-
sional rescue team.

The patient’s chances for survival depend on the availability of a defibrillator that matches the helper’s experience
level – from a device with the simplest operation to one with the most extensive monitoring and treatment fea-
tures.

Weinmann offers a complete selection of devices, especially designed with the skills and needs of the rescuer in
mind: from the self-explanatory AED that integrates First Responder concepts to a multi-parameter monitoring/
defibrillator system for emergency and in-hospital treatment.

All Weinmann defibrillators have one thing in common: great reliability - which of course is the crucial quality in
any medical equipment in an emergency.

B8 Defibrillation / corpuls3

Innovation:
Wireless connection guarantees uninterrupted monitoring of vital parameters
corpuls3:
separable defibrillator and monitoring system
More mobile and more flexible than ever: The corpuls3 is a new defibrillator and monitoring system which can be fully equipped
for use in emergency medical services and hospitals. The innovation: corpuls3 consists of three devices: a monitor, a patient box
and a defibrillator. They can be used all together, two at a time or each on its own. At an emergency site, in a rescue vehicle
or in the hospital, the emergency doctor and rescue personnel can decide how to use corpuls3 in each situation. In every case,
communication between the individual devices is guaranteed by wireless technology. Dangerous cables are a thing of the past.
For the first time, uninterrupted patient monitoring is possible.

corpuls3 – The Module Functions in Detail:

Monitor Module
This is the operating and switching center of corpuls3. The
information in the display can be read easily even in direct
sunlight or from the side. An integrated defibrillation menu
ensures speedy operation at the scene of an emergency.

Defibrillator Module
Functions of the module:
defibrillation
cardioversion
pacing
If defibrillation is not required, this module does not have
to be attached to the other two modules (for example, for
transport within the hospital). With less weight to carry, res-
cue personnel can be more mobile. If defibrillation is required,
conventional paddles or self-adhesive defibrillation electrodes
can be used.
corpuls3 / Defibrillation B9

Patient Module
The core of corpuls3, the patient module, always stays with
the patient and ensures that patient data is always monito-
red without interruption.
Diagnostic 12-lead ECG Non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP)
Pulse oxymetry (SpO2) Temperature (TEMP)
Capnography (CO2) Invasive blood pressure (IBP)
Because all cable connections are readily available from the
storage compartment in the patient module transport bag,
they can be attached to the patient quickly and easily.

Mounting for Vehicular Installation

Finding a way to reasonably accommodate defibrillator and
monitoring systems into EMS vehicles is a great challenge for
manufacturers of medical devices. The solution has to be tailo-
red to the needs of rescue services. With the corpuls3 modular
system, a world of innovative, safe and time-saving possibili-
ties opens up.
Mounting for the Complete Device
Single-handed release and removal by means of a strap
Self-locking mechanism activates after 10 seconds if device
is not removed
Low installation depth, low weight
Power supply 12 V DC (230 V adapter available)
Can be adapted to the corpuls 08/16 wall mount

Mounting for the Monitor

Single-handed release via the two latches on monitor
Power supply 12 V DC (230 V adapter available)
Low installation depth, low weight
Suitable for the combination of monitor and patient module

Mounting for Patient Module

When mounting is installed on vehicle ceiling, a connection
cable is no longer required. That saves money.
Power supply 12 V DC
Simple adaptation and release

Energy Management
Each of the three corpuls3 modules has a similarly constructed
lithium-ion battery pack. Even at maximum load, the batteries
last for several hours. Safety: corpuls3 can display down to the
minute exactly how much longer the batteries can maintain
device functions. Current energy consumption is taken into
consideration and the remaining time is predicted.
When operating as a complete device, each module's battery
pack can fall back on the reserves of the others. The battery
packs can be charged by means of a contactless battery char-
ger, a mains power unit or the mounting. Their power supplies
guarantee that the battery packs are always fully (100%) char-
ged. Therefore, it is not necessary to keep back-up batteries or
corresponding charging facilities on hand, all of which could
use up valuable space, add weight and require complicated
maintenance.
