Hello, everyone, now I will continue my part, it is how can bees find food.
Oke, first of all, I want to ask you some questions , do u know how many kinds of bees?
Exactly, there are 3 kinds of bees, worker bees, queen bees, and drone bees.
So, what kind of bees will be responsible for finding food?
Yesss, it is worker bees.
And do u know, what do bees eat? Yes, they are pollen and nectar. And what is pollen? It is a powder made
from flowers, honeybees collect them to feed the baby bees
The next is nectar. It is a sweet liquid, produced by flowers. Honeybees use them to make honey.
And… have u heard ab how can bees find food? Maybe no, okay do not worry,so let’s follow her.
At first, she will fly around to search for the food
And then, when she smells the right flower, she takes a nibble. And do u think she will sit on this flower and
enjoy the meal? The answer is no. She will come back to her hive and tell other bees where the food is.
• What way can bees do it? Bee does this by doing a special “dance”: she flies in the figure 8 over and
over.

• The direction and duration of the dance tell the other bees the direction the flowers are in, and how
far away they are.
• The faster it flies, the more food there is!
What happens when they collect food?
• When worker bees move from flower to flower, they transfer pollen and spread it to other flowers.
That's pollination, how plants reproduce.
• But bees also need to carry lots of it home – pollen is a protein-packed food for the hive.

● Luckily, Bees have the right gear-They’re hairy.

● She’s covered in 3 million hairs for trapping pollen. They’re on her body, on her legs, or even on her
eyes.
● While flying from bloom to bloom, she moves the pollen into special baskets-Cor’biculae ( at u can
see , it is yellow basket
There is an amazing fact I want to tell u !!
● A bee can get as many as 160,000 pollen grains into each ball. < that is one-third of her weight >
Okay, that is the end of my part, and now welcome thuy linh, she will continue our presentation
