The replacement types are exchangeable
with remarks. Engineering is needed for
software and drawings in addition to parts.

1 Description
Information about discontinued units applicable for all PLC CPU units and analogue I/O
units of type “FX2N” for Lipstronic 7000 and Wichmatic systems. These PLC units are
mainly used in LT7000 variants for CPP control systems (IPP, CPPA and CPPB). They
have also been used in some clutch control systems (CCU), engine safety systems
(ESS), and clutch/engine control systems (WM2).

There is no direct replacement solution available for any of these units. Wärtsilä may
offer different upgrade possibilities, dependant of affected units and system complexity.
Please take into account the lead time of replacing the plc unit if it fails. Consider
replacing it in advance of a breakdown, and plan this for the next scheduled
maintenance stop.
