Accessibility statement for

the British Council corporate

website
This statement was prepared on 1 December 2021. It was last updated
on 31 March 2022.

This statement applies to content published on the MyClass application

(https://myclass.britishcouncil.org). It does not apply to other British
Council applications or websites.

We know that this application requires considerable work to improve the

level of accessibility. Improvements include:

• making sure the application can be fully operated without having

to use a mouse (i.e. keyboard accessible)
• making sure the application can be used with assistive technology
(for example, screen readers)
• Giving headings an accessible structure

We plan to fix the above issues by the end of July 2022 at which point
we will re-audit the site and make a plan to fix any outstanding
accessibility issues.

How to request content in an accessible format

If you need information in a different format please get in touch with
your local British Council teaching centre and tell us:

• the web address (URL) of the content

• your name and email address
• the format you need, for example, audio CD, braille, BSL or large
print, accessible PDF.
