Ethical issue

What are the different rituals of Nacirema? Identify five (5) rituals and briefly described
each.
1. Holy-mouth-men
-who the people must visit twice a year. A holy-mouth man’s job is to enlarge
any holes that decay might have caused in the mouth. But the Nacirema
say about it is were not for the rituals of the mouth, they believe that their
teeth would fall out, their gums bleed, their jaw shrink, their friends desert
them and their lovers reject them. They also believe that also believe that a
strong relationship exists between oral and moral characteristics.

2. Ritual Ceremony

-Nacirema believes that this ceremony will remove evil from their bodies
and improve their health. The medicine men who conduct these ceremonies a large
collection of special knives which the client is never allowed to see.

3. Bathing and Excretory

- acts of performed only in the secrecy of the household shrine, where they
are ritualized as part of the body rites.

4. Rituals fasts and Ceremonial feasts

-to make fat people thin while ceremonial feats is to make thin people fat
and a fix with women breast size.
 5. Body Rituals

-the rituals of this particular lifestyle. The first thing Miner writes about is
every household having a “shrine room” where rituals that are secret from everyone else
are practiced and how every shrine room has a box with many magical potions. Most of
their rituals are done in their body.

Are there similarities between their culture and ours? If yes, what are these?

have yearly dentist check ups. In their bathing and excretory acts its performed only in
the secrecy of the household shrine, where they are ritualized as part of the body-rite.
The same as ours we always stay our personal hygiene we are also take a bath everyday
that we perform it in the bathroom area for our privacy. And they are also conducting
some surgery like fats people become thin and thin people become fat just like ours some
people change the shape of their face, body and some of the body parts of their body is
change.
