1.5.1 General
• ATTENTION: only use stainless-steel screws of strength class 70 on the operating table!
Take note of the torque specified for tightening screws!
• Use a medium-strength screw locking agent for all screws > M4 without a split lock
washer!
• Do not wear clothing which can become caught in the equipment. Button up or roll up your
shirt or coat sleeves. Tie back long hair. Tuck the ends of scarves, ties or shawls into your
clothing or pin them down. Loose clothing can be a hazard!
For activities that are moderately dangerous for the eyes, wear protective glasses
(e. g., for soldering work or when removing taut springs and fasteners, or when hammering
in or hammering out pins or similar parts).
• Do not perform any activity that may put other people in danger or that can make the
device a source of danger!
• Put the removed housing and other machine parts in a safe place while working. Always
store the tools or disassembled parts in such a way that no one can stumble and fall over
them!
Keep the area around the machine clean and tidy during and after maintenance work!
• Do not let screws, nuts or other parts fall into the operating table! Immediately remove
any parts that have fallen in! Parts that have not been removed can damage components
or cables when adjusting the operating table.
ATTENTION! The operating tabletop should not be released for use by the customer
if any parts have fallen into the operating table and have not been removed.
• After performing the work, return or replace all protective equipment! This includes,
for example, covers, cable ties, cable mounts, cable shields, ground/earth and power
connections.
Check connection of the equipotential bonding conductor/grounding cable
in accordance with the applicable standards!
• Only use solid rosin as flux for soldering work!
Prevention
• Ask your doctor about the possible risks and how to avoid them in your work as a medical
service technician.
• Have your doctor vaccinate you against Hepatitis B!
A booster shot is required every 3 to 5 years.
The incubation period for Hepatitis B is 1 to 6 months.

4 Test Procedures
As the medical products from TRUMPF Medizin Systeme GmbH + Co. KG are distributed
worldwide, uniform guidelines for electrical retesting should be used.
According to the DIN EN 60601-1 standard, the limit values according to the
CF classification apply when testing the application parts.
Depending on the model, the electric operating tables from TRUMPF Medizin System GmbH
+ Co. KG only receive one application part with B classification.
Furthermore, the TRUMPF Medizin Systeme GmbH + Co. KG product-specific prescribed
retests and safety checks are obligatory.

2. Open column cover downward (see chapter 10.1, page 29).
3. WARNING
Risk of injury from sinking lift column!
When the lift motor is loosened when the operating table is standing, the upper part of
the column sinks suddenly due to its own weight and this can lead to severe injuries.
Support lifting column on the Trendelenburg_drive with a wood spacer that fits!
Place wood spacer [1] on the column base under the Trendelenburg_drive and
carefully guide the lift downward until the lifting column [2] rests on the wood spacer.
If the top lift position cannot be reached, perform the following work steps to put in the
wood spacer:

b) Remove pad/pad section of the seat section and put in a safe place (see
chapter 12.1, page 69).
c) Remove tabletop and put it in a safe place (see chapter 9.1, page 24).
d) Remove the locking ring and the 2 washers at the top of the spindle suspension at the
lift_bolt on one side.
e) Remove lift_bolt and washers.
f) Note on workplace safety: Due to the heavy weight of the operating table, take
care not to strain your back while working! Another person is required for raising the
column.

weight and this can lead to severe injuries. Be especially careful when removing the
wood spacer!
Guide the lift upwards a little, remove the wood space from the column and put it in
a safe place.
11. Close the column cover downward (see chapter 10.2, page 30).

Monitoring Tilt and Trendelenburg Position Angles
G C D
H
If there is a difference between the motor control and tilt sensor angle values of more than
5 degrees in normal operation and 2 degrees at zero position, the tilting and Trendelenburg
function is restricted. If the angle values of the tilt sensor are outside of the specified range,
only zero position movement of the tilt and Trendelenburg position is possible. This serves to
protect the mechanics.
Usually, both ellipses are superimposed precisely on each other. This prevents any restriction
in the tilt and Trendelenburg ranges. Full range of motion is possible in both directions
(25 degree tilt, 30 degrees 1)/25 degrees 2), Trendelenburg position, 35 degrees anti-
Trendelenburg position).
