Job Overview

TAL Apparel employs around 25,000 people in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Macau, Malaysia and Ethiopia, producing annually ca. 50 million pieces of garment for mid to high-end
customers in the US, Europe and Asia. The company is divided into 5 Business Units (BUs). DistrictOne, focusing on premium men’s wear for global brands, is supported by a factory based in Ethiopia
with ~800 operators. Within the context of DistrictOne’s manufacturing direction, the VP Manufacturing sets the factory capacity development and utilization, annual operating plans and provides the
managerial leadership to the Factory management team to produce garments that meet quality standards, on-time delivery and cost KPIs, working towards achieving the BU’s customer Net Promoter
Scores (NPS), P&L, revenue growth, net profit and CMI/SAH targets. At the same time, the VP Manufacturing also strives towards creating a working and living environment that supports the
development of a highly engaged and competent workforce and is compliant with all relevant country legislation.
