Rivestimenti protettivi / Protective coatings / Les revêtements de protection
FOSFATAZIONE
È un processo chimico che consente di
alterare la superficie di un metallo mediante
la creazione di cristalli fosfatici, migliorandone
la resistenza alla corrosione e facilitando
il successivo ed eventuale processo di
verniciatura. Può essere effettuata allo zinco
o al manganese.
GEOMITRIZZAZIONE (NO CROMO)
Rivestimento a base acquosa contenente
zinco e alluminio in forma lamellare, assicura,
con un basso spessore, ai pezzi trattati una
protezione molto elevata dalla corrosione
ambientale e dalla corrosione bimetallica.
Resiste a temperature fino a 250÷280°C
e non dà alcuna fragilità da idrogeno. La
Geomitrizzazione è attualmente uno standard
mondiale dei sistemi di rivestimento protettivi
per gli elementi di fissaggio (viti, bulloni, dadi,
ecc.).
Aspetto esteriore: argento opaco
Vantaggi: rivestimento duttile, adatto a
particolari sottoposti a deformazioni elastiche,
resistente al calore fino a circa 250÷280°C,
verniciabile.
Svantaggi: nessuno
ZINCATURA ELETTROLITICA
Rivestimento di zinco applicato sul metallo
principalmente come protezione dalla
corrosione galvanica. Esistono diverse
tipologie e cromatazioni, dalla classica e più
utilizzata bianca a quella iridescente fino ad
arrivare a quella estetica nera.
ZINCATURA A CALDO
Applicazione su base ferrosa di un grosso
spessore di zinco eseguita per immersione
diretta dei particolari nello zinco fuso
(appunto “a caldo”); comporta una variazione
dimensionale significativa dei particolari
della quale va tenuto conto. Dopo tanti anni
e l’avvento di nuove metodologie, è ancora
oggi ritenuta una delle protezioni più efficaci
e durature.

PHOSPHATE COATING
This is a chemical process that alters the
surface of a metal through the creation of
phosphate crystals, improving its resistance
to corrosion and facilitating subsequent
painting processes. It can be performed with
zinc or manganese.
GEOMITRISATION (CHROME-FREE)
A water-based coating containing zinc and
aluminium in sheet form, it ensures, with a
thin layer, to the treated pieces a very high
protection from bimetallic and environmental
corrosion. It resists temperatures up to
250÷280°C and does not give any hydrogen
brittleness. In particular Geomitrisation is
a worldwide standard for use on fasteners
(screws, bolts, nuts, etc.).
Appearance: matte silver
Advantages: ductile coating, suitable for
parts subjected to elastic deformations, heat
resistant up to about 250÷280°C, paintable
Disadvantages: none
ELECTROLYTIC GALVANIZING
Zinc coating applied to metal mainly as
protection from galvanic corrosion. There are
different types and chromate treatments, from
the classic and more commonly used white to
iridescent and even black.
HOT GALVANIZING
Application of a thick zinc layer on a ferrous
base by direct immersion of the parts in
molten zinc (therefore “hot”). It significantly
changes the size of the parts, which must be
taken into account. After many years and the
arrival of new methods, it is still considered
one of the most efficient and durable
protections.
PHOSPHATATION
Il s’agit d’un processus chimique qui permet
d’altérer la surface d’un métal par la création
de cristaux phosphatiques, améliorant ainsi
sa résistance à la corrosion et facilitant
l’éventuel processus de peinture ultérieur. Il
peut se faire au zinc ou au manganèse.
GEOMITRISATION (CHROME-FREE)
Revêtement à base d‘eau contenant du zinc
et de l’aluminium sous forme de feuille, il
assure, en couche mince, aux pièces traitées
une très haute protection contre la corrosion
bimétallique et environnementale. Il résiste
à des températures jusqu’à 250÷300°C et
ne donne aucune fragilité à l’hydrogène. En
particulier, la Géomitrisation est une norme
mondiale d’utilisation sur les éléments de
fixation (vis, boulons, écrous, etc.).
Aspect : argent mat
Avantages : revêtement ductile, adapté
aux pièces soumises à des déformations
élastiques, résistant à la chaleur jusqu’à
environ 250÷280°C, paintable.
Inconvénients : aucun
GALVANISATION ÉLECTROLYTIQUE
Revêtement en zinc appliqué sur le métal
surtout pour le protéger contre la corrosion
galvanique. Il en existe différents types et
chromatages, du plus classique et plus utilisé,
le blanc, à la version irisée pour arriver à la
noire plus esthétique.
GALVANISATION À CHAUD
Application sur base ferreuse d’une grosse
épaisseur de zinc effectuée par immersion
directe des pièces dans le zinc fondu (d’où le
nom « à chaud »). Soumises à ce traitement,
les dimensions de pièces peuvent fortement
varier, il faut donc en tenir compte. Malgré
les années passées et le développement
de nouvelles méthodes, cette technique est
encore aujourd’hui considérée comme une
des protections les plus efficaces et durables.
