COURSE NAME: INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
Objective: The purpose of this assignment is to ensure that every student is familiar with the use of Google Scholar,
and understands how to properly cite relevant material from internet sources. Additionally, this assignment aims to
provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use word processing software in writing
documents, and presentation software such as PowerPoint. By completing this assignment, students will be equipped
with the tools necessary to conduct research, assignments, and cases and present their findings in a professional and
credible manner. It is important for students to understand the importance of using credible sources in their research,
studies, assignments and referencing them properly, and this assignment provides an opportunity for them to practice
these skills.

Motive: I understand that for many of you, this may be your first time completing an assignment of this nature.

ASSIGNMENT:
Selecting a topic from the vast field of law can be a daunting task, however, by narrowing down the focus
and choosing a specific area of interest, it can be possible to write a comprehensive analysis in one page.
It is important to pick a topic that is not too broad or too narrow, but one that is specific enough to be
covered in one page. Some examples of specific topics that can be covered in one page are: The legal
implications of social media, the impact of climate change on the law, The role of technology in the legal
system and etc. Once you have chosen your topic, the goal is to present the information in a clear and
concise manner, while providing a comprehensive analysis of the chosen topic.
In order to effectively support any topic within the field of law, it is important to conduct thorough research
and gather relevant information. One valuable resource in this process is Google Scholar, which provides
access to a wide range of scholarly literature and academic studies. Utilizing this tool can assist in
identifying relevant research and studies that can support the chosen topic.
In addition to utilizing Google Scholar, it is important to properly cite and reference all sources used in the
research process. Zotero is a useful tool for this purpose, as it can assist in organizing and formatting
citations in accordance with the IEEE style. This ensures that the work adheres to academic standards and
is properly credited to the original authors. Overall, utilizing Google Scholar and Zotero together can
greatly enhance the research process and help to produce a well-supported and credible analysis on a chosen
topic within the field of law.
