Q. Is it right to confine wild animals in cages ?

Give reasons for your

answer with reference to the poem ‘A Tiger in the Zoo’ and give examples
from real life. Write in about 100-120 words .

Ans : No it is not right to confine wild animals incages. They cannot live
freely trapped behing the iron bars of the cages like in the poem ' A Tiger
in the Zoo' . Here the He cannot move freely and is only allowed to take a
few steps in the limited confined area of his cage. As he stalks the cage,
the tiger is filled with a rage which has become quiet because he cannot do
anything about the situation. Although the tiger is angry due to the
cruelty of man, yet his rage remains suppressed because of his inability to
do anything. By keeping the tiger confined in a cage man has robbed him
of his freedom.

Just like this, we often love to keep pets and buy them or bring them from
their natural homes to our houses separated from their families. Although
we love them and take good care of them, we forget that that afterall we
have separated them from their own families. Our homes are also like a
cage to them .
