Output Transformer Assembly and Fitting

VERY IMPORTANT:
T2 = VTB2569 (1)
Assembly Tip:
Do NOT tighten the screws very tight... It is usually easier to plug in
use a thread locking adhesive applied to the molex connector before
screwing the transformer in
the end of the screw. place

Overtightening will alter the air gap... that would

not be good !

Plug the output transformer molex connector into molex on the PCB Gently screw the output transformer to the chassis using 2 x M3 x 28mm screws
and 2 x M3 x 30mm screws and 4 x M3 shakeproof washers. Do not overtighten the screws.
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONNECTOR IS FITTED SO THAT THE Ideally, apply some LocTite thread adhesive to the screws (if available).
WIRE COLOURS ARE AS SHOWN BELOW.

ez1073pre Calibration / Setup

1 ] Before powering up the module, turn the “Bias Adjust” trimmer R58 fully counter-clockwise (about 10 turns)

2 ] Power up module, measure the DC voltage between bias test points TP1 & TP2
[It should typically measure about 40-50 mV (after relay clicks)]

3 ] Slowly turn the “Bias Adjust” trimmer R58 clockwise until the DC voltage now measures 90mV

4 ] Apply a signal of -40dBu to the input and then turn front panel gain control up to +60dB

5 ] Ensure that the front panel brass coloured “Trim” control pot is turned fully clockwise

6 ] Measure the output signal, and adjust the “Gain Adjust” trimmer R70 until output measures +20dBu
