Keywords: The purpose of this article is to explore the impact of the inclination
Inclined Cavity, Wall angle on the fluid flow inside a tilted solar collector with a flat glass
Corrugation; Natural cover and a wavy bottom absorber. The cavity experiences a vertical
Convection; Numerical temperature gradient, with its top sidewalls being thermally
Analysis. insulated. The governing equations, which are dimensionless and
based on the Boussinesq approximation, are solved using the Finite
Volume Method. The numerical results are presented in terms of
streamlines, isotherms, Nusselt number along the cover plate for
different aspect ratios, inclination angles, and Rayleigh numbers.
These findings shed light on the performance of the enclosure and
demonstrate how the heat and fluid flow fields are influenced by the
aforementioned parameter.

Bucket; Grooves; This is what happens in the water jet of Pelton hydraulic turbine and
Deformation causes a jet strike on the wrong place of the bucket of the wheel of the
turbine, and the peaks of velocity ant the total pressure are not
located on the centreline of the jet. Several works confirmed that
these failing are caused mainly by the curvature of the pipe upstream
of the jet. This work proposes a solution for the regularization of the
shape of the jet by acting on the design of the tube geometry upstream
the injector. Engraving helical grooves on the inner wall of the pipe
yielded a sharp and much more uniform jet, which is confirmed by the
velocity and the total pressure profiles on a given jet cross section:
the tops of these curves are hence located on the centreline of the
flow as well as the velocity vectors. This adjustment will concentrate
the jet striking force on the center of the turbine wheel bucket and
consequently increase its efficiency.

Keywords: The study aimed to investigate the effect of hydrogen addition on the
Two-Zone Model; performance of an internal combustion engine with spark ignition. A
Spark-Ignition; computer code based on a zero-dimensional model of combustion in a
Zero-Dimensionnal; spark ignition engine was used to carry out this study. The
Hydrogen Addition FORTRAN90 computer code was established in a previous work and
is based on a two-zone model. It represents the flame as an infinitely
thin interface that separates fresh and burnt gases. The code was
modified to simulate the addition of hydrogen by adding the
thermodynamic properties of hydrogen and the calculation of the
laminar flame velocity for a hydrogen-isooctane mixture to its
database. The results showed that the addition of hydrogen increased
the maximum pressure and temperature during the combustion phase.
It also increased the production of water vapor and decreased the
production of carbon dioxide, which appears to be beneficial in terms
of pollution. However, as the temperature rises in the cylinder,
various pollutants such as carbon monoxide CO and nitrogen
monoxide NO will inevitably form. Therefore, further studies focusing
on the effect of hydrogen addition on pollutant production are
required. The addition of hydrogen also improved the overall
performance of the engine.

Mathematical models by means of a vacuum dryer inside the laboratory.
Operating factors throughout this work are temperature (50°, 60°,
70° and 80°C) with vacuum pressure (0.2×105 Pa). In order to
investigate the following parameters: drying time, (DT), water
content value (X), Rehydration rate (Rc), R2, χ2 and shrinkage. The
finest conditions for carrot slices drying in a vacuum dryer are
determined to detect optimum conditions as follow: at temperature of
50° C, this best results for DT,X, Rc R2, χ2, and SR were found as:
220 min, 0.45 (kg water/kg dry matter), 5.8%, 0.998, 0.00044 and
36.15% respectively.
The mathematical model of Midilli & al. gave the optimal results to

Keywords: The aim of this work was the experimental study of the effect of some
Apricot; Drying; pre-treatment methods on the conduct of the drying of Apricot. The
Pre-Treatment; Solar, mumps of this fruit were treated using two pre-treatments methods:
Blanching, Sulfiting'' bleaching and sulfiting, in order to compare their effect on the drying
process, and to search for the best optimization of apricot drying
In this research, an indirect solar dryer is used with 70 m3/h airflow
forced convection, with the use first of three periods of blanching (1,
2 and 3 min), than three different concentrations of SO2 (10, 15 and
20 g/kg). The results showed that blanching has a considerable effect
on weight loss during drying; on the other hand, sulfiting has no
major influence. Optimum conditions were found to be a water
content of 0.768 with blanching of 3 min. At this optimum point, DRt
and Ea calculated values were found as 0.027 g/min, and 31.06
kJ/mol respectively. The two used pre-treatment methods significantly
improved the organoleptic quality (color, texture and taste) of dried
apricots.

Keywords: The study presents a numerical investigation of the flow in lid driven
Lattice Boltzmann cavity where the top and bottom walls moves with a uniform velocity
Method; Tow Sided Lid uw in the first case, in the second case they moves in the opposite
Driven Cavity; Reynolds direction with a uniform velocity uw, the Lattice Boltzmann Method
Number And Aspect Ratio; (LBM) used to solve this fluid dynamics problems, this problem was
Vortices
simulated using two-dimensional nine directional lattice model
(D2Q9), the lattice Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook (single relaxation time)
approximation was used for collision step.
The results obtained from the simulations were compared with the
available numerical data in the literature, for validation, velocities
profiles and streamlines obtained is compared with literatures and
other analysis parameters are shown and found a good similarity was
observed.
We focus on the effects of Reynolds number (100, 400, 1000, 1500,
2500, 3500 and 5000), and aspect ratio (1, 2 and 4) on the flow
characteristics, including the formation of vortices.
Results show that the flow patterns and velocity profiles are strongly
dependent on the Reynolds number and aspect ratio, as the Reynolds
number (Re) increases, the flow become more chaotic (turbulent),
and the formation of vortices is there is more prominent (formation of
secondary and ternary vortices), and the aspect ratio effects the size
and shape of the vortices with increase in aspect ratio (K).
The study demonstrates the potential of the lattice Boltzmann method
as a powerful tool for simulating complex fluid flows and provides
insights into the flow characteristics in a two-sided lid driven cavity.

simulations, it can be shown that the pipes' geometry can
significantly impact the performance of EAHE since the maximum
temperature drop is observed in the oval shape, followed by the
corrugated shape and then the round shape, respectively. However, a
greater pressure drop was found in the oval tubule, which could be
identified and worked on in future studies.

Pemfc); Mathematical on the performance of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells.
Modeling; Ansys Fluent; To achieve this objective, a three-dimensional model was developed
Polarization Curve using ANSYS FLUENT software, based on the finite volume method.
The model considered the main transport phenomena in a fuel cell,
including mass transport, electrode kinetics, and potential fields, and
determined the distributions of molar concentrations of oxygen and
hydrogen, as well as current density, for both straight and serpentine
flow field designs.
In the numerical simulations, the conservation equations of mass,
momentum, and species were utilized to determine the transport of
reactants and products within the fuel cell. The model also considered
the impact of different geometries on the current density distribution
and overall efficiency of the fuel cell.
The results of the simulations showed that the serpentine flow field
design exhibited better current density distribution compared to the
straight flow field design. This improvement in current density
distribution can be attributed to the increased residence time of
reactants in the serpentine flow field, which enhances mass transport
and facilitates a more uniform distribution of reactants across the
electrode surface.

Aerodynamics; Drag. room for improvement in terms of aerodynamic efficiency, resulting in
more fuel consumption. Therefore, other ways to improve the
aerodynamic efficiency of trucks are needed, and a practical but
relatively simple method to reduce aerodynamic drag is to install an
air deflector on the roof of the truck cab.
In this work, the effects of the addition of device like the deflector on
the drag reduction of heavy-duty vehicles were studied. For this
purpose, the body structure of the vehicle (truck) was modeled in two
models (truck without deflector, and truck with deflector) using the
3D design software SolidWorks. Then, computational fluid dynamics
(CFD) analysis was used for each model to improve the optimal
aerodynamic structure at different longitudinal speeds for heavy-duty
vehicles.
The results show that the deflector is a more efficient additional part,
and by adding this part, the drag coefficient is greatly decreased at
an optimal angle, a significant reduction in drag is seen. Through
analysis of airflow and pressure distribution, results reveal that
adding an air deflector to the cabin can reduce fuel consumption and
drag coefficient by up to 27 %, and a drag reduction of 28.38% is
obtained compared to the simple model.

materials based on natural goods, like as cement, nanoparticles, or
metal oxides, is the current trend in implant design and the
enhancement of their osseointegration. High-performance materials
can be produced from nature using carefully chosen structures
(magnetotactic bacteria, ferritin, the teeth of certain mollusks, etc.).
In light of this, this study will be created by synthesizing a natural
product in the form of apatite. The first part of the work is devoted to
the realization of apatite using eggshells. This apatite is a mineral
reagent able to take part in the phenomena of ionic exchanges and
molecular adsorptions with the surrounding biological fluids. This
apatite structure is particularly hospitable and can accommodate a
good number of ionic substituents by substitutions of Ca2+ sites. In
the second part of our work, we will proceed to the substitution of the
Ca2+ ion by the Mg2+ ion and the elaboration of the hybrid
material. The characterization of the samples was done using SEM
for morphology, XRD, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy for structure
and composition analysis. The corrosion behavior was followed by
the plotting of the equilibrium potential OCP and the linear
polarization PL. The analysis of the results shows a good
crystallization with a good corrosion behavior.

attributed to the GLAD technique. The mechanical properties of the tantalum nitride films
were investigated as a function of the tilt angle: residual stress, hardness, and tribological

the tilt angle (compressive for θ < 80° and tensile for θ ≥ 80°). The film hardness was
decreased with the increasing of tilt angle. The wear rate was calculated and, the prepared

showed that for small volume fractions, the combination of the
variation of the contrast and the morphology of the different

However, for the high fractions, a difference between the results of
the two microstructure configurations is observed. Thus, it can be
concluded that the effect of the inclusion-matrix contrast properties
combined with the variation of the morphology and the volume
fraction is significant between the two considered microstructure
configurations of the composites only for the high-volume fractions.

to the nature of their work. Several international studies have been
conducted, most of which indicate the risk of leaving the drilling fluid
and sand mixed with it if neglected in the exploration areas. In
addition to helping to improve the mechanical and physical
properties (compressive strength, flexural strength) of oil well sand
concrete.
Within this idea, we decided during this study to try to answer the
possibility of using oil well sand as an alternative, even partial, in the
construction to reduce these phenomena and the problems that arise
in the surfaces of these regions.
According to the most important results obtained, namely a
significant improvement in compressive strength, we propose to
develop and improve the oil well sand concrete, in order to achieve
the generalization of the use of these huge quantities of this sand
located in the southern region in the field of construction, as well as
the elimination of environmental pollution, and that in the medium

Cds; Cts; Scaps-1d; Thin Dimension (SCAPS-1D) to improve the structure of Copper Tin
Film Solar Cell Sulfide (CTS) thin-film-based solar cells for different buffer layers.
CdS, a toxic material, is used as a buffer layer in traditional CTS
thin-film solar cells. However, the extensive study indicates that CdS
is unsuitable for fabricating functional solar cells, whereas replacing
CdS with In2S3 yields superior results. In2S3 was suggested as a
non-toxic buffer layer, and ZnO was recommended as a window layer.
The impacts of different factors affecting CTS thin-film solar cells
efficiencies, such as absorber layer thickness, carrier concentration,
and temperature, are studied. We focused on the study of the effect of
operating temperature, which is also tested for CTS solar cells to
ensure durability at external installation. The rates of generation and
recombination in both substances, Mo/CTS/ In2S3/i-ZnO/ZnO:Al and
Mo/CTS/CdS/i-ZnO/ZnO:Al, are investigated. The results show that
solar cell efficiency improves when the carrier concentration is
between 1018 cm-3 and 1019 cm-3 and the optimal thickness of the
absorber layer is 4.5 µm. It has been determined that as the
temperature increases, the efficiency of the solar cell decreases. At
300 K, the optimum working temperature, an efficiency of 20.55%
was achieved. When In2S3 was used as a buffer layer instead of CdS
under optimal conditions, the (PCE) of CTS-based solar cells
increased from 19.46% to 20.55%. The results obtained are very
close to those published.
