discussion text extracurricular activities at school

Currently, educational institutions do not only provide facilities for developing cognitive abilities. The
reason is, at school there are extracurricular activities that all students can take part in. Extracurricular
activities are held outside of class hours and students can choose the activities they want.

Some parties do not support holding extracurricular activities in schools. This is because learning
activities at school are full time from morning to evening so students feel tired. Extracurricular activities
only provide additional burden for studying so there is no time to rest.

However, some other people agree with holding extracurricular activities. After all, students do not only
need knowledge, but must develop their talents and interests. Both academic and non-academic abilities
need to be balanced. Apart from that, extracurricular activities are also a place for students to refresh
themselves after participating in learning activities all day.

From these opinions, a middle line can be drawn that extracurricular activities must be held by every
educational institution. This is certainly not without reason and purpose. Students can choose whether
or not to participate in these activities. However, it would be good for students to use this platform to
explore themselves so that they have good qualities, both academic and non-academic.
