THINGS TO PREPARE

1. Prepare all things needed.


 7 pieces cables
 10 pieces RJ 45
 2 pieces modular box
 Router
 Switch hub
 Flash drive with Win Server 2008 OS
2. Shut down server PC. Format with Win Server 2008. Do cabling while installing OS.
Don’t delete partition D while formatting. It houses drivers and apps.
3. Rename server PC “SERVER”. Rename client PC “CLIENT”.
4. Install LAN driver if needed. Reset router. Connect router to server in preparation for DC
promo. Temporary IP address.
5. Services. DNS, Function Discovery Host, SSDP and UPNP.
6. DC promo. ADDS.
7. Do cabling with modular box while doing DC promo.
8. Create domain and password.
9. Connect cable with modular box to patch panel then test.
10. IP config to check router connection. Don’t connect first.
11. Install apps. Wrar, office, firefox and printer driver while working with the patch panel.
12. Networking time. Take note of the structure. IP config. Check connection of both PC.
13. Add roles. DHCP install. Scope name and scope.
14. Adapter settings. Static IP addressing. Enter router’s IP add for default gateway. Enter
server’s IP add for preferred DNS. Turn on network discovery.
15. IP config to check new IP.
16. Create OU and users.
17. Go to the client PC. Enter server’s IP add on preferred DNS.
18. Connect to domain. Restart.
19. Back to server. Create access folder. Share to specific users. Advanced sharing. Security.
20. Copy access folder’s path to the profile of specific users in OU then paste.
21. Folder redirection. Group management policy. “Teachers’ GPO”. Edit. Do all steps.
Enforced.
22. Go to client PC. Log-in. IP config to check DHCP/IP add. Turn on network discovery.
Disable router’s DHCP.
23. Remote desktop. Enter IP of client. Enter password. Wait for the client to respond.
24. Deploying printer. Add roles. Print and document services. Install.
25. Go to printers and devices. Right click. Printer properties. Sharing. List in Directory.
Apply. Ok.
26. Admin tools. Printer Management. Printer properties. Right click. Deploy with GPO.
Browse. Select GPO. Per user. Per machine. Add. Apply. Ok.
27. Go to client PC. Gpupdate force. Restart. Log-in.
28. Ready for wireless connection using laptop.
29. Connect laptop to router. Access router. Advanced. Disable DHCP. IP config/release. IP
config/renew.
30. Rename SSID of router. Check wireless connection.
31. Enter server’s IP add on laptop’s DNS server. Laptop may now join the domain. Set to
domain. Enter credentials. Welcome to domain.
32. Log-in on the laptop the other user. Print. Check printer. Devices and printers.
Notes: DHCP configure – yes
Assign dynamic IP through server’s DHCP – yes

*In case of connection issue: double check router’s DHCP and disable
Activate scope of server’s DHCP/IP
Create new scope
*To access client’s folder: Shared folder, continue, security, administrator
