Introduction

What are the advantages for organisations that have this understanding of leadership
compared to management? That was the subject of the presentation. The group tried its best,
however they fell short in terms of presentation quality and preparation. Unless the presenter
took the time to explain the slides to the reader, the information shown on them was insufficient
and difficult to understand. As a result, no one could make sense of the slides due to the style and
content. The group or presenter failed to adequately cover the subject as they only defined
leadership and management. The data and presentation were both perplexing; instead of trying to
present the slides in the manner that is expected of them, they just copied and pasted data from
the internet without demonstrating any effort to obtain their own data. Crucial information
pertaining to the subject is missing from the presentation. The following are examples of items
that they neglected to include in their presentation or on the slides:

• They omitted any discussion of how leadership and management interact within
companies.

• Neither the quantity nor the quality of the material met the necessary criteria,

• The presentation slides failed to address the importance of leadership and management.
• The advantages of leadership and management in companies need more evidence, which was
not provided. There should be additional information beyond the current one line pertaining to
perks.

• They should be more deliberate and explicit in how they wrap up the
presentations.There is a lack of supporting facts and hypotheses, and the data presented is not
robust enough, to persuade the audience.

Content

The material they used falls short of the standards that were set for them. Readers found
the content and layout of these slides to be unclear. The definitions of leadership and
management that were purely authored by the presenter or group members failed to adequately
address the subject and the situation at hand. Slide data and the presentation are not clear. They
only copied data from the internet without contributing to their own data collection or even
attempting to show the slides as needed. Not even bothering to read the presentations, they just
brought up the relevant data.

Important data missing

Data that should have served as the presentation's backbone was missing from the slides.
They only included little info that was already accessible online. Since individual reflection is
central to the presentation, it was disappointing to see that the group members' participation and
analysis were lacking. Providing suitable signals for the situation and those people involved is
what the personal presentation is all about. According to Cortellazzo et al. (2019), people who
lack self-esteem and trust are unable to fully use their strengths and deliver their message
effectively. According to Bârgău (2015), visual aids such as text, tables, and graphs may greatly
enhance the readability and interest of presentation slides, while also efficiently conveying
complex and large amounts of information. There has to be more focus and clarity on the latter
section of the dipositives. They need to make sure that the presentation slides address the
managers' and leaders' ties inside the organisation, as it has not been highlighted before. It is
imperative that the content's quality be enhanced as the offered material was insufficient and did
not meet the required standards. The issue has to be addressed by mentioning the significance of
management and leadership in the presentation slides. The benefits of leadership and
organisational management were not well described; instead, they were only appended to your
benefits, which is inadequate and calls for more data (Kaul et al., 2020).

Future development

They should add the following data in the presentation slides:

Leadership and management

A leader is someone or some individuals who can inspire and guide others to achieve
common goals (Lopez, 2014). Positions such as chief executive officer, chief information officer,
or chairman of the board are often held by individuals with this level of leadership qualification
in corporations. Whether it's a for-profit business, a nonprofit, or even a government entity,
management is the process by which it is administered (Mehta et al., 2014). Organisational
objectives may be more effectively and efficiently attained by managerial management, which
includes planning, considering, organising, leading, and controlling an organization's people,
financial, physical, and informational resources (Ashikali, & Groeneveld, 2015). According to
Bârgău (2015), if these processes are neglected, the organisation can face negative consequences.
Organisational problems including mismanagement and high personnel turnover are possible.
But it's also said that upper-level management needs enough knowledge to put a self-regulating
system in place that meets all of the organization's needs.

Management and leadership's function in a company

An organization's vision and purpose are defined by its leader, who is responsible for
leading and guiding the group towards achieving those goals. Accordingly, effective leadership
is consequential and guarantees economic success for the company and its workers (Ashikali, &
Groeneveld, 2015). One example of transformational leadership is that practiced by Jeff Bezos,
CEO of Amazon, who shares the company's vision with his staff. They harmonise goals at the
individual level with those at the organisational level. Leadership qualities allow an individual to
get their team closer to the organization's goals (Mehta et al., 2014). In order to accomplish these
aims, he endeavours to coordinate the actions of others so that they all work together. As an
example, Tesco's staff need to embody the company's fundamental value of providing excellent
customer service. The CEO of Tesco supplied his or her staff with an example of the
organization's goals in order to help them understand and work towards them. Management
entails a number of tasks, including organising, leading, encouraging, planning, and monitoring
(Ashikali, & Groeneveld, 2015). Management is able to create strategies and gather resources for
the oversight and control of activities thanks to this function, as stated by Zaleznik (1981). An
essential role in any organisation is that of the manager, who provides direction, oversees the
work of subordinates, delegated authority, made crucial decisions, maintained positive
relationships with workers, represented the firm in public, and more (Ashikali, & Groeneveld,
2015). It goes on to say that the company's organisational performance might take a hit if these
basics and attitude are missing. Regarding the significance of organisational hierarchy and its
strong relationship to performance, Lopez (2014) delves more into the disputes. Thus, in order to
foster a sense of teamwork inside the organisation, managers should focus on efficiently
managing these roles.

Evaluation of the ties that bind an organization's management and leadership

According to Bârgău (2015), one of the main issues in the theory and practice of
organisational management is the relationship between leadership and management. Students
examining the link between leadership and management sometimes fail to grasp the fundamental
concept of organisational management, which leads to heated discussions. According to Uslu
(2019), the two primary functions of an organization's management team are leadership and
management. Ogbonna and Harris (2000) state that the leadership and management team's
connection forms the basis of the link between the two. The role of management is to make sure
things are done well, whereas the role of leadership is to make sure things are done right
(Cortellazzo et al., 2019). The idea that a company's leadership should make sure that
management is in line with its goals is fundamental to Apple's business model. The firm has
instituted a training programme for its top management to get knowledge about the company's
functions and how to apply them to Apple's commercial environment. Sobratee and Bodhanya
(2018) have a stronger stance on this. Leadership and management are integral to the
organization's management and operations at every level, as this shows. According to Mehrad
and Fallahi (2014), the two systems have a dynamic and complementary effect on organisational
management. As an example, Tesco has made efforts to integrate these two areas via the
management of its operations and outstanding leadership based on particular Tesco principles.
This allows them to provide excellent customer service to their clients. It strengthens the
organization's operations by enhancing its weak spots. Management and dynamic leadership are
complimentary aspects of the same whole (Ogbonna & Harris, 2000). The findings of this study
contribute to the integration of management theory and make the functions of leadership and
management within companies more complementary (Maccoby, 2000).

Leadership and management play a crucial role in any organisation.

In order for businesses to effectively plan and accomplish their goals, strong leadership is
required. For instance, Facebook ensures a productive work atmosphere by providing managers
with excellent training. According to Al-Mamary et al. (2014), managers need to assess their
settings in order to learn about team dynamics, individual performance, and organisational
performance. Managing production aspects, assembling and organising resources, and efficiently
integrating those resources are all responsibilities of management in order to achieve the
company's goals. This is a crucial component of efficient resource maintenance, according to
Homan et al. (2020). But as Asrar-ul-Haq and Anwar (2018) point out, if we only worry about
managing our resources, we won't be able to pay attention to how to make our goods better. It is
this that directs group efforts towards the achievement of specified goals. There would be no
waste of time, money, or effort if an organization's goal were clearly stated. According to Uslu
(2019), management is responsible for transforming cash, equipment, and other disorganised
resources into a productive business. Maccoby (2000) counters by saying that the corporation is
able to accomplish its goal because these resources are managed, controlled, and coordinated.
organisations should not limit themselves to focusing on this; instead, they should educate
themselves about the market and its surroundings.

In summary

Despite their best efforts, the group is unable to convey the material or organise it in an
appropriate way. There is either too little data on the slides or too much data on the slides, and no
one will be able to understand the presentation until the presenter explains everything.
Consequently, the presentations are incomprehensible and will confuse any reader due to their
style and content. The presenter or members of the group failed miserably at handling the subject
matter; all they did was write down the definitions of leadership and management. The topic is
not well conveyed by the presentation and the facts shown on the slides.

Section B: The efficacy of the group

• Despite seeming competent, the video's presenting group isn't as coherent as it needs to
be due to a lack of cooperation. Their presentation may need some improvement.

• The slides are well-used and effective, but the data presented is insufficient, and several
crucial pieces of information are missing from the presentations.

• The slides are of low quality and do not adequately convey the subject. It seems like
they didn't put much effort into producing the slides, and they could improve their quality.
• We lost interest in the subject halfway through the presentation because of the graphics
and the delivery.

While the citations were accurate, the author failed to provide any theory or personal
analysis to back up their claims. The research materials were sufficient, but more in-depth
investigation would have yielded superior results.

Impending progress

They did a decent job presenting, but they might have done much better. A strong desire
to achieve the group's goals and the use of cooperative strategies may achieve this. Although
they worked well together as a group, the information they used in the presentation and on the
slides was insufficient; more research and theory were required. Additionally, the presentation
necessitated their own perspectives on the subject. If they look into other sources and collect
material from many sources that are pertinent to the subject, they may improve their performance
in future presentations. If they want to do better in future presentations, they should also provide
their own analysis.

Analysing past work

The presentation's effort to provide an understanding of the idea's foundation was


illuminating. Each group has to take a more assertive stance on the subject at hand. Instead of
staring at the slides, they should look the audience in the eye. Instead, they need to show greater
concentration by talking about the presentation's subject in a logical way. The group should
recognise the need of honing their presenting abilities in order to adequately cover the subject.
Methods for achieving this goal include honing one's analytical abilities and practicing public
speaking. It would benefit them to get more knowledge about public speaking and how to be
more open to their surroundings. One of the most important skills for academics to have is the
ability to introduce themselves correctly. All it takes is a handful of methods to accomplish the
set objectives.
