person to do the job, check the safety harness
before and after use, harness shall be anchored
above the head, store harness at proper place to
avoid damage to the lanyard.
8. Health check up to be done before start of
activity, speed boat, ring buoy shall be kept site, one
diver shall monitor continuously, proper
communication required, continuous supervision
required at all times, first aid facility, ambulance
shall be kept ready available at all the time, Proper
lightning arrangements shall be provided, lux level
shall be monitored regularly,
9. Weather report shall be checked on daily basis,
in case of high wind use anemometer to measure
wind speed, work shall be stopped if wind speed is
more than 32km/hr.
10. All riggers & drivers must obtain competency
cards.
11. Access route must be assessed before start of
the activity, safe route must be communicated to
all, proper illumination required.
12. Vehicle must be inspected before use, avoid
reversing, if possible, follow the signal of banks man
while reversing, area to be barricaded.
13. All lifting gears must be validated by third
party, inspect all gears before use.
14. Check the ground condition before placing the
crane.
15. While lowering load don't put finger below the
load, follow proper hand signal, and deploy
competent rigger, proper supervision is required.
16. Maintain good housekeeping at site.
17. Check the ladder before use, maintain angle of
75 degree.
18. Replace damage ladder immediately, place
ladder at designated place after finishing of the
activity, always position the ladder properly.

bare hands. Engage experienced riggers for all types
of material handling.
2. Use sleepers for placing materials to prevent
lifting gear stuck under the load.

Operator before use.

manufacturer’s specification, crane operation must
be stopped by crane operator and the rigger.

16. Guide ropes (2) on each load must be ensured.

· Machines are effectively earthed by providing


double earthing and connected with DBs fitted with
ELCB.

inspected.

· Electrode holders shall be of good quality and


free from any damages. Use insulated holders.

9 Following DOs & DON'Ts as listed below: 1.Don't 1 3 3


leave the keys in the cabin.
2.Don't allow any other person / cleaner to drive the
vehicle.
3.Don't use Mobile phone while driving the vehicle.
4.Parking of vehicles near the excavated area is
strictly prohibited and also not in the access path
5.Minimum of 3 meters’ distance to be maintained
from the excavation with parking light and display
signage.
6.Avoid unnecessary parking. 7.Spotter to be
deploy.
8.Fire extinguisher must be kept inside the cabin.
9.Maintenance to be carried out by an experience
mechanic & prestart checklist to be followed.

12 1.The radius where the Bucket is operated should be 1 4 4


barricaded or flag man to be deputed.
2.Ensuring restriction of unauthorized personnel to
enter in the excavation area. 4.Ensuring all the
personnel must wear reflective jacket.
5.Ensuring by that JCB / excavator operator must
aware of the surrounding area.
6.Operator should not use mobile phone or hear
music by inserting the head phone in the ear.
7.While swinging / reversing - indication horn should
be ON.

communication between operator & signalmen.

skidding while travelling on the ramp.

whereas trucks are plying on the ramp.

barricading.

12 1. The concrete pump operator shall ensure that 1 4 4
outriggers are extended to the appropriate position.
2. Sole plates are provided for placement below
outrigger feet to support the pumps outriggers/
reduce surface damage these are designed for use
on firm, level standing. The machines maximum
possible loading is displayedon its outriggers.
3. CPE team MUST inspect the boom
placer/concrete pump properly.
4. Dont stand under the boom.
5. Eye/face protection shall be ensured. Provide eye
was station.
6. Wear full body protection dress to

prevent direct contact with concrete, wash body


part if get contact with concrete with water.
7.All hydraulic rams are fitted with lock valves to
limitmovement should failure occur.
8. Reverse alarm shall be installed on the boom
placer. Trained Flagman/spotter shall be deployed
for vehicle movement at site.
9. Maintain safe distance from vehicle/machinery.
10. All moving components upon the concrete pump
are fully guarded either by virtue of its manufacture,
by mechanical guard, or by automatic interlock
systems.
11. Demarcate area of pump operationLimit access
to persons, especially below boom, orin vicinity of
pipeline or placing hoseWare Appropriate PPE . A
demarcated and access restricted area shall
beprovided at the end of the pipeline that is to be
air cleansed.
12. Spill tray provided under the boom placer/pump
to prevent unwanted leakage. Washing facility
should be there.
13. Ensure ALL persons shall remain clear of the
hoseat EVERY start or restart of the pump.‘Clear’
means a safe position at a radial distanceof at least
twice the length of the suspended delivery hose –
referredto as the ‘Danger Zone’

relevant facilities and ROPS (Roll over Protection
Structure).
2. Daily inspection checklist must be filed before
every shift. 3. Use only the maintained equipment.
4. Ensure equipment has reverse horn, head lights
etc.
5. Ensure proper compactness of the soil.
6. If required two or more equipment, ensure
proper co-ordination between both operators.
7. Ensure availability of trained banks man with
whistle and flags.
8. Ensure banks man is well away from moving
equipment’s.
9. Ensure everybody is away from the perimeter of
the opened bucket of the truck while off -loading.
10. All the trucks must follow the company driving
policy and rules while traveling and entering the
site.
11. Make proper slope for vehicle movement.
12. Ensure proper compaction while moving
equipment near to any culvert or flowing water.
13. Ensure use of appropriate dust mask
14. No unauthorized personnel to work / move
near/ enter the work site.
15. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Helmet, Coverall with long sleeves, reflective vest,
Safety Shoes, Hand gloves, safety glasses while
transporting
16. Control traffic by placement of a trained banks
man.
17. Ensure no personnel rest near to or underneath
the equipment in the work site.
18. Ensure No Smoking in the worksite.
19. Provide necessary caution boards.
20. Maintain safe distance from machinery.

at all working areas, including access and egresses.
Electrician must be available at
site during operations.
2. Take short breaks and wear
reflective dress. and rest area and drinking water
shall be available at workplace.

· Immediately stop the activity & equipment.

· Assemble at Assembly point.


· Report to Supervisor and HSE department

· Call emergency contact numbers.


· Emergency vehicle shall be available on site.

· First aid facility shall be present at all times.


· 8.Fire extinguisher and fire point shall be
installed in identified places.

handling when possible

· Follow proper kinetic method or steps for


manual lifting work.
· To ensure that workers receive adequate
information on the weight of a load and the center
of gravity of load.
