Applied Physics useful in Information Technology

 Applied Physics is rooted in fundamental truths and basic
concepts of physical sciences, but is concerned with the utilization
of scientific principles in practical devices and systems, and in the
application of physics in other areas of science.
 It usually differs from engineering in that applied in that an
Applied Physicist may not be designing something in particular,
but rather is using and conducting physics research with the aim
of developing new technologies or solving an engineering
problem.
 For Instance ;
As we study at chip level, especially high performance
chips being crammed into the same or even smaller spaces, where
the distance between the molecule can make a difference as to
weather a circuit can function there and the speed of the cycle
can depend upon the speed of an electron travelling that circuit.
This is how it is useful in Information Technology….
Importance of Applied Physics in Information
Technology
 It is really amazing to know that Applied physics plays an
important role in the field of Information technology.
 Nearly everyone would agree that the computer, the transistor
and the World Wide Web are among the greatest inventions of
20th century .
 Everyone knows that entire world is inextricably linked to these
technologies as these inventions make up the foundation of
modern technology.
 Applied physics is both significant and influential in parts because
advances n its understandings have often translated into new
technologies, but also because of new ideas in Physics often
resonate with the other sciences, mathematics and philosophy.
