ccScan Download and Activation Instructions

The latest release is always available at this link. To determine if a more recent release is available,
open the ccScan Help menu, About... and press Check for Newer Version.

Installation after using a ccScan Trial

If you had a Trial version on this computer, remove the Activation Key from the Admin menu,
Licensing.... Locate the old key, Right Click and select Remove. Paste your new key into the space
provided and press Activate ONCE. After several seconds a message indicating Activation Successful
will reply. You do not need to download ccScan since the Trial version is identical to production
except for restrictions.

New Installation – no ccScan Trial on this computer

If this is a new installation, paste your new activation key in the place provided In the Startup Wizard
or in Admin menu, Licensing..., Activate License dialog. Press the Activate button ONCE. After several
seconds a message indicating Activation Successful will reply.

Upgraded or Updated Version of ccScan

Use Windows 10 or 11 Settings, Apps & Features to uninstall an earlier version. All previous settings,
Jobs and Licenses/Activation Keys are preserved. If you have a new activation key, remove the old
key from the Admin menu, Licensing.... Right Click, and select Remove. Paste your new key into the
space provided and press Activate ONCE. Shortly you will see the message Activation Successful.

Using ccScan Licenses

You may use ccScan® on any supported computer, provided that ccScan® is used on only one
computer for production or continuous use. Additionally, ccScan® may be used on one other
computer for development, testing or non-production use. You may also use ccScan® on a home or
remote computer for production use if said computer is used in place of, but not simultaneously
with, your ccScan® licensed normal workplace production computer. If ccScan® has been purchased
in a multi-user or site license configuration (usually 10 or more licenses), you may use ccScan® on the
number of computers specified as well as the additional usage specified above.
