Definitions and Sources of Fear
The usage of the word fear in the scripture has
positive and negative connotations. Our
concern is with the latter. The fear here is
taken to mean worry occasioned by threats to
us now or in future. This is quite different from
the fear of God. To fear God is to have a
reverence for God and it results in proper
attitude and conduct to God and humans.
Such a healthy fear leads to no threat or
danger to one's life now and in the future.
