LOCATION OF THE SCHOOL

Marobo Girls’ High School is located 4 Kilometers from Mabanga Junction off Webuye –
Kanduyi road and 2 Kilometers from Nalondo Market off Bungoma- Bokoli – Kimilili Road

BOARDING REQUIREMENTS:

a) Leather low healed laced up black shoes (not pumps/with straps or open)
b) 2 pairs of white socks with green strips (from school at 250/=)
c) A pair of rubber shoes for games (white)
d) A pair of white stocking (knee length socks)
e) Shoe polish (black) and brush
f) 2 light green sheets
g) 2 blankets, 3 inch mattress and a mosquito net
h) Night dress (avoid trousers)
i) 6 underpants cotton black or white
j) 2 petticoats cotton white or black
k) Plate, mug and spoon to be provided at school at a cost of ksh 400/=
l) Maasai Bed covers (green & black stripped) –To be purchased at school at a cost of ksh. 800/=
m) 2 braziers cotton black or white, a towel, plastic basin, a comb, a mirror,slippers,toothbrush
and toothpaste, 5 rolls of toilet papers,1 face towel(not a hand towel), enough washing and
bathing soap, sanitary towels (3 packets),a handkerchief, hair and body oil,umbrella,torch,pocket
money at least ksh. 400 (four hundred) and enough fare to take her home which can be kept in
the accounts office or deputy principal’s office.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

1. KNEC mathematical table, 8 biro pens, Atlas 3600 c by oxford,kamusi ya Kiswahili


(karne ya 21), Oxford advanced leaners dictionary 10th Edition,30cm ruler and erasing
rubber , RSV bible, Geometrical set, Golden bells(Hymn book)
2. Ream of photocopying Paper(Paperline)

N/B: Girls will not be allowed to go home for personal effects. The above items must be labeled
to avoid misplacement.

x. School Jumper at Ksh 2,500 and Windbreaker at Ksh. 1,000 (OPTIONAL)

No special diet is provided in school. Any juice and soda is not allowed in school. Any girl with
known medical problem should be given enough drugs to last a term i.e. Asthma, diabetes, chest
problem, ear/eye problem, high blood pressure etc. and should have a letter from a government
hospital.

The school treats simple ailments e.g. malaria, flue, etc. Any seriously sick girl (with UPI
Number) will be admitted in hospital and parents informed.

SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS/GUIDELINES


1. MODESTY, DECENCY, POLITENESS AND TIDENESS in a language, dress and action
is expected of every student.
a) Any student found using abusive, quarrelsome; rumor- mongering or threatening language
will not be accepted in school.
b) Full school uniform must be worn neatly at all times and P.E uniform must be worn during
P.E. lessons, games time and when doing through cleaning.
c) Students found wearing wrong attire or indecent dressing (e.g. tight or short skirts) will be
punished and the attire confiscated. Please note that confiscated items will not be returned.
2. All students’ respect the religion and traditions of this school. Christian Union (CU) services
are compulsory to all students. Failure to adhere to this will result into punishment.
3. Sneaking from school amount to self-exclusion from school.
4. Lesson attendance and ALL examinations are compulsory.
Students who consistently avoid exams or CATs will not be promoted to the next class.
5. DORMITORIES. Each student should sleep in her dormitory. Failure to do so will lead to
punishment. VICES (close love relationship between girls) will NOT be accepted in
school. Any girl practicing lesbianism will not be accepted in school.
6. No student should:
(a) Communicate or buy food over fence.
(b) Speak to visitors on the compound without permission from the teacher on duty, Deputy
Principal or Principal. Failure will lead to suspension.
7. Stealing, fighting and drinking alcohol will NOT be allowed in school. A student found with
stolen items will be sent home to bring the parent.
8. Hair should be neatly combed always. Failure to do so, it will be cut.
9. All students MUST communicate in official languages i.e Monday to Thursday use English
and Friday to Sunday use Kiswahili. Any Student found using mother tongue shall be punished.
