A design is made up of elements and principles that work
in concert to produce a coherent outcome that tries to
address a specific issue. To prevent designs from serving
only aesthetic goals rather than their actual function,
which is to deliver the desired message, it is imperative to
have a thorough understanding of each component.
LINE
| ““SS"""s"" "=" Visual elements that take the form of a
moving point in space, ranging from
two-dimensional to three-dimensional.
These lines vary in thickness, texture,
and direction of travel, and are
determined by their visual presence. HEHE S|
SHAPE
It is described as an area that is unique
from the picture plane and the other
design elements. It is a two-
dimensional closed figure. A form can
house shapes. A shape can exist in
several locations in space and have
other components such as a line, color,
texture, or movement.
FORM
It possess three dimensions.
Dimensions of a physical or digital form
} are height, breadth, and depth.
Combining shapes can result in a form,
> which can then be improved by adding
color or texture. When we discuss form,
we do not refer to the form's content
but rather to the form itself.
COLOR
It comes from light; without light, there would be no
color. It is the characteristic that we notice when we
engage with other items through light. As light strikes
an item, it reflects back to our sight. We can now
perceive colors because light travels in many
wavelengths before arriving at the cone of our eyes.
TEXTURE
It is an object's external appearance.
The appearance of smoothness or
roughness in a photograph is
sometimes referred to as texture.
