For me i would say its not a positive thing, it’s usually a more of a negative thing.

The fact that

over 60% of men and 55% of women are addicted to social media and they just need to miss out
one day it would be a disaster to them, this is a disease called FOMO or we can called as Fear Of
Missing Out, According to a study by OnePoll there’s 69% of Americans usually get FOMO disease
and 60% make reactive purchases to avoid missing out on events, as found in research by
Eventbrite.
A study cited 70% of US teenagers experiencing feelings of exclusion or being left out even while
actively using social media.

Beside there’s a depth meaning for this. You see, social media can not only make you addicted
but it also go with more issues, which is cyber bullying and online predators . Not only the victims
are usually children-teenagers, they aren’t prepared enough to actually experienced life, they can
get body shaming, which is very common for everybody. Im surely that everyone already have
experience at least once in their life, cyber bullying can leads to their mental getting damaged
and can possibly leads to suicide. Online predators can easily tricked kids to trusting them so they
can have access to their personal life this have been proven by studies that have shown 40% of
children from grades four to eight experienced online chatting with strangers. 1 in 5 children
reported that an online predator contacted them. 53% of offenders were family members. Over
80% of child sex crimes arise from social media. A total of 6,350 crimes related to sexual
communication with a child were recorded in the year to March 2023, a rise of 82% since the
offence was first defined in 2017.
