Image File Name


 Capture the image file name under this field

DocType
 Doctypes have previously been determined and should NOT be reassigned.
 These will be lists of names that will generally be titled "Hovedliste" or
"Tillægsliste".

Prefix/Given Name/Surname/Suffix/Maiden Name:


 The name will be found in the column titled "Samtlige Personers fulde
Navne" or something similar.
 Prefix: Key any titles before the given name, such as "Dr", "Mr", or "Mrs" of the
primary person as seen on the record using the dictionary provided for
assistance.
 Given Name: Key the first name or initial and any middle names of the primary
person as seen on the record using the dictionary provided for assistance.
 Surname: Key the surname as seen on the record using the dictionary provided
for assistance.
 Suffix: Key all titles, such as "Jr" or "III" following the surname of the primary
person as seen on the record using the dictionary provided for assistance.
 Maiden Name: Key the maiden surname as seen on the record using the
dictionary provided for assistance. The maiden name will be indicated by the key
words "pigenavn", "fødselsnavn", "fødenavn", "Født", or something similar.

Street Address
 Key the street address as seen on the record. The street address will be found in
the column titled "Sognets og Byernes eller Stedernes Navne…" or
something similar.
 Street Address should be copied down within the image until a new value
appears.

Family Number
 Key the family number as seen on the record. The family number will be found in
the column titled "Antal af Familier", or something similar.
 Family Number should be copied down within the image until a new value
appears.

Gender
 Key the sex or gender as an abbreviation from the record using the dictionary
provided for assistance.
 The gender will be found in the column titled "Kjonet" or something similar.

Age
 Key the age of the primary person as seen on the record. The age will be found
in the column titled "Alder" or something similar.
 When a date appears in this column, it should be keyed into the birth date field.
 Ages should be keyed as seen on the image. Ages may be numeric (17, 21)
spelled out (thirty-two; three weeks old) or a combination of numeric and spelled
out (10 years; 6 days).

Birth Date
 Key the birth date as seen on the record. The birth date will be found in the
column "Alder" in place of the age.

Marital Status
 Key the marital status as an abbreviation from the record using the dictionary
provided for assistance.
 The marital status will be found in the column titled "Ægteskabelig Stilling" or
something similar.

Religion
 Key the religion as an abbreviation from the record using the dictionary provided
for assistance.
 The religion will be found in the column tilted "Trorssamfund" or something
similar.
 Note: If the religion listed does not appear in the dictionary, please key the full
value as seen.

Birthplace
 Key the birthplace as seen on the record. The birth place will be found in the
column titled "Fødested" or something similar.

Relation to Head
 Key the relation to head as seen on the record using the dictionary provided for
assistance.
 The relationship will be found in the column titled "Stilling i Familien" or
something similar.

Occupation
 Key the occupation as seen on the record. The occupation will be found in the
column tilted "Erhverv" or something similar.

Occupation Place
 Key the occupation place as seen on the record. The occupation place will be
found in the column titled "Erhvervsstedet", "Opholdsted", or something
similar.

 Key the disability condition as seen on the record. The disability condition will be
found under the section "Af Personerne ere:" and indicated by a mark in one
or more columns in the section.
 The column header indicated by the mark should be keyed as seen. If more than
one column is indicated key each header separated by a ";"

 Please use this field to report doubts and exceptions

Street Address : Street Address and Family Number should be copied down within
the image until a new value appears.
Occupation Place: Dittos should be copied down within an image until a new value
appears.
Religion: Dittos should be copied down within an image until a new value appears.

Relation to Head: This translates to "Pensioner" and should be keyed to both fields as
it goes across both columns.
Birth Date: When a date is provided in the "Alder" column, it should be keyed as
seen into the Birth Date field.

Relation to Head & Religion: Dittos should be copied down within an image until a
new value appears.
Street Address and Family Number should be copied down within the image until a
new value appears.

 Capture the image file name under this field

DocType
 Doctypes have previously been determined and should NOT be reassigned.
 Some of these images may have previously been assigned to the 'Capture'
doctype. If that happens, they should be reclassified to 'Titleboard' and keyed.

Parish
 Key the parish as seen on the titleboard using the dictionary provided for
assistance.
 The parish will be found following the key words "Sogn", "Gade", or something
similar.

 If the titleboard only has one place value listed with no key words, it should be
keyed as the parish.

Herred
 Key the herred as seen on the titleboard using the dictionary provided for
assistance.
 The herred will be found following the key words "Herred", "Herredet", or
something similar.

Amt
 Key the amt as seen on the titleboard using the dictionary provided for
assistance.
 The amt will be found following the key word "Amt" or something similar.

 Capture are non-data and do not have fields to key. If a Capture image looks like
a 'Titleboard' it should be reclassified and keyed.
