I. Preliminaries: Introduction

Good day! Thank you for granting us this time out of the day to participate in this
interview. Before we start let us introduce ourselves. We are______________________
we are assigned to conduct an interview with you. With me are my co-researchers to
assist in documenting this discussion. We are from the Dujali National High School,
taking up the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, and we are currently
grade 11 students. Today we will conduct a research needs assessment through an
interview, we will have a discussion that may take about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and we
look forward to a friendly conversation with you.
Discussion of the aim of the Assessment, Confidentiality, Withdrawal, and Ethical
Issues
This interview aims to learn from your insights on how certain policies are being
implemented in your respective school and it seeks to explore the culture and
organizational leadership styles in your school. Your honest responses will be beneficial
for the success of our research project.
We want to know what you honestly think and feel. We look forward to you
speaking openly at any time during our conversation. Please feel free to let us know if
you have any questions.

Before we continue, we would like to know if you have received and read the
consent, we gave you. Did you read the permission? Do you have questions about it?
