Chocolate

Chocolate is a food is used in many different types of food but most people like it
because it is sweet. The fruit of the cacao is not popular because it is bitter. The Mayan
people from Mexico were the first to make chocolate. First, they dried the fruit in the
sun. Then, they cooked them over a fire. That made the beans soft. After that, they hit
the beans again and again until they became a paste. The paste was mixed with water to
make a chocolate drink.

Today, most of the world’s chocolate comes from factories. They buy their beans
from farmers around the world. There are many types of chocolates. Dark chocolate is
made with cocoa powder, cocoa butter and sugar. It is darker in colour and not very
sweet. Milk chocolate is made the same way, but milk powder is added. It is usually
sweeter. White chocolate doesn’t have cocoa powder and isn’t bitter at all.

Chocolate is eaten as a sweet and is also used to make other foods, such as ice
cream, chocolate milk and cakes. Doctors find that eating chocolate makes people
happier. However, eating too much chocolate is not healthy. It can make people fat and
give them health problems.
