TRAVEL DETAILS

How to reach?
Dehradun is well connected by air, train, and road. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant International Airport in Dehradun. You
can book your tickets well in advance till Dehradun to avail yourself of tickets at cheaper rates. You can choose to travel by
air from any metro city to Dehradun. The other option is to reach Delhi by air, and travel by train or bus from Delhi onwards.

Here is a guide on how to plan your travel step by step to reach Dehradun.

Brahmatal Experience is 6 days long, we suggest our participants reach Dehradun on Day 0, and not Day 1. It allows you to
rest before the trek begins, and ensures you do not miss the OWLS pickup from Dehradun on Day 1.

Travel Plan A - By air till Dehradun :

If you are reaching Dehradun by air, here are a few options for planning your travel. You can book a direct or connecting
flight to Dehradun. If you are planning to reach Dehradun by air, make sure you reach here on Day 0. Once you reach
Dehradun, book a hotel or dorm near ISBT.

OWLS pick-up will be available on Day 1 at ISBT Dehradun.

Travel Plan B - By train/bus from Delhi :

If you are flying from any city to Delhi, you can opt to travel by bus or train from Delhi onwards. You can book and find your
bus option at UTC Online. Try to board a bus or train which will arrive in Dehradun before 5:30 AM on Day 1. The pick-up
will be at 6:00 AM from ISBT. Nanda Devi Express runs daily from Kota to Dehradun, reaches H Nizamuddin at 11:35 PM,
and arrives at Dehradun early in the morning at 5:40 AM.

There are other options for travelling by train. If it is convenient you can choose to travel in the first half of the day to reach
Dehradun at night and have well-deserved rest. Reaching Dehardun early morning on Day 1 will be a hectic affair. We
recommend bus over train for cheaper rates and easy availability of buses from Delhi throughout the day.
