Program Name MBA-CPM & MBA-CEQS Semester 4
Aim of the course work This assessment is aimed at students gaining professional
understanding of possible changes and their management in
construction projects. It is also intended to develop professional skills in
claims management including preparation of claims documentation.
Learning outcome 1. Identify nature of changes occurring in the construction and

While mid-term evaluation is based on presentation, end term evaluation is marked both for report &
presentation, for 12 & 18 marks respectively.
Please note all assignments shall subject to plagiarism software checks, through “TURNITIN” or
any other equivalent software.

The marking rubric for this assessment can be found in Annexure 1.
7. Plagiarism
Amity Plagiarism policy will be followed, and all submissions will be checked for plagiarism on
Turnitin. Refer to course guide for plagiarism and referencing details.
8. Important Instructions
1. Plagiarism is a serious offence. In case of any plagiarism detected, penalty will be imposed
leading to zero mark.
2. Course work and reports should be solved by the individual/group.
3. Course work and reports should be submitted on time and submission after deadline will be
marked zero.

This is a major project work is part of continuous internal having a total mark of 30% in overall
course weightage. Context for Project Work shall be proposed by the students and approved by the
respective course coordinators. This is also evaluated as part of the self-work wherein the students
are required to demonstrate their ability to conduct an independent study and develop professional
skills (PSDA).
This is a team project; the team shall have minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 students. The students
are expected to collect & analyse information related to an ongoing (preferably) or completed
project in the built environment sector to demonstrate their professional understanding of change
management and skills in claims management.
Every team is expected to submit a report consisting of the deliverables related to the following
tasks:
1. Identify the source of changes, classify and critically review.
2. Suggest Change Management Process with justifications
3. Identify and analyse the possible avenues for claims (at least five)
4. Prepare and substantiate claim documentation o EOT (at least two methods) o Financial
Claims
You are expected to submit the deliverables on LMS. Your group shall be provided opportunity to
present your work during the mid-term and end-term evaluation. You may refer to guidelines on
presentation in Annexure-2. The final report shall be in MS Word/PDF format with the word count
ranging from 2500 to 3500. You are expected to use Harvard Style of referencing in your deliverable.
Refer to Annexure-3 for guidelines for report format.
Note
Any other relevant requirements shall be announced in the class as well as on the MySBE course
page.
