Jesus talks to Nicodemus about God’s love.

John 3:1-21

The Pharisees were people who thought they knew all about God.
Most of the Pharisees didn’t like Jesus. They were afraid people
wouldn’t pay any attention to them if Jesus kept teaching. Most
of the Pharisees wanted to make Jesus stop teaching and heal-
ing people.
Nicodemus was a Pharisee. But Nicodemus wanted to learn more
about Jesus. He went to see Jesus at night when no one else was
around.
Jesus told Nicodemus that God loved everyone in the world so much
that God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross. Because of that,
everyone who believes in Jesus can have eternal life with Jesus.
Nicodemus didn’t understand everything that Jesus said. Jesus
explained that when people believe in Jesus, they are forgiven
for the wrong things they do.
