Scene 1: Neighborhood; murmurs in the background.

Lagring walks pass the chismosas and makes her way to her house.

Lolit: Ateng, narinig mo na ba ang nangyari sa asawa ni Lagring?

Marites: Oo nga eh. Pero karma na siguro nila yun. Matagal na nilang ginagawa eh.

Lolit: Totoo nga. Ilang dekada ba naman nilang inabuso ang dagat.

Marites: sana naman natuto na sila. Hindi man lang kasi naawa sa mga isda at sa ibang mangingisda na nangunguha nang marangal.

Lolit: sabi ng lola ko noon, grabe ang ganti ng dagat sa mga umaabuso sa kanya.

Inaudible whispers continue.

Scene 2: inside the house- dinner table

Lagring arrives at their house. Tasyo is sitting on a chair/wheelchair. Camera hides Tasyo’s arm.

Lagring: nakuha ko na yung tulong mula sa barangay. Kagaya nung dati, tayo pa rin ang usapan ng buong barangay.

Flashback.

Scene 3: inside the house- sala

Lagring: hanggang kailan mo ba ipagpapatuloy yan?

Tasyo prepares his explosives and starts to leave the house.

Lagring: ngayon palang itigil mo na yan. Habang wala pang nangyayari sayo.

Tasyo: itigil mo nga yang pagiging praning mo. Kung ang tatay at tito ko hindi napaano, hindi rin ako mapapahamak.

Tasyo leaves his wife in tears.

Scene 4: laot/on a boat.

Tasyo sees a school of fish. He prepares his explosives, ignites it, and got distracted.

Explosion occurs (sound of explosion)

Camera zooms at Tasyo’s face with droplets of blood. he slowly closes his eyes. Focus the camera at his eyes for transition.

Scene 5: inside the house- dinner table

Camera slowly moves away from Tasyo’s eyes (slowly opens his eyes). Tears start to flow out from his eyes.

Lagring: kung nakinig ka lang sana sa akin, hindi ito mangyayari.

Camera moves slowly away from Tasyo. Views his current condition.

Bottomline: Overfishing is an obvious threat to our capacity to feed ourselves.

Scene 1: Neighborhood; murmurs in the background.

Lagring walks passed the chismosas and makes her way to her house.

Lolit: Hay nako mare, ako’y papasok na nga sa bahay at ihanda ko ang mga gamit ng anak ko.

Marites: kailan ba siya luluwas?

Lolit: bukas mare. Ilang buwan na lang at magiging attorney na siya para matulungan ang tatay niya.

Marites: Oo nga pala. Ilang buwan na ring nawalay sa inyo si pareng Dolfo. Sana’y palayain na siya ng mga taga-Indonesia.

Lolit: sige mare, mauna na ako.

Lolit leaves the scene while Marites remains fanning herself.

Scene 2: inside the house; sala setting
