The fact took place one hundred seventy-
eight.
In March twenty four, eighteen forty eight
James Marshall discovered particles in a
Sutter's sawmill.
The 49ers traveled by sea and others
traveled trough the California Trail.
The gold rush also attracted dozens of
thousands of people from Europe,
Australia and Asia.
Some mistakes
• At the end of eighteen forty nine, the
population of California exceeded one
hundred thousand inhabitants, including
slaves and African-American miners.

• One the consequences of this fact is that


the natives' territory was attacked.
