Co Chocolat Factory Trip

Dear Parents,

We remain driven in our commitment to developing our awe and wonder curriculum here at
Star International School, Mirdif. We would like to provide this opportunity to schedule a
trip to visit a local and unique chocolate factory called ‘Co Chocolat’. Co Chocolat is an
agricultural social enterprise that supports and educates cacao farmers in the Philippines.
Co Chocolat are sustainable chocolatiers creating chocolate with fewer ingredients but
better quality. The trip will allow students to enhance their learning and experience and is
a great opportunity to explore the manufacturing, production and creation of chocolate.
The Business Studies students will be able to see first hand how the business carries out
market research and as well as learn about branding. The Food and Nutrition students will
be able to learn and understand the chocolate making and be guided through the sensory
analysis process of tasting chocolate. The trip is not mandatory but we would like to see as
many students attend as possible. The trip details are as follows;

Trip Details

Location: Co Chocolat Factory, S-16 Plot 6, Warsan 3, Dubai

Date: Tuesday 3rd October 2023

Dress code: School Uniform

Lunch Arrangements: Lunch at school as normal

Consent: All parents must sign the consent waivers attached in order for their child to
attend the trip.

Cost: 175aed (Includes transport, entry to the factory, hot chocolate drink, handmade
personalised chocolate bars) Money can be given directly to accounts at main reception.

Time: The trip will take place during the school day, normal drop off and pick up times
apply.

Reply slips and money need to be returned to accounts by Wednesday 27th September. If
