Punctuation is important in every sentence. Same sentences with different
punctuation can have different definitions.

1. A period or full stop is used at the end of a sentence, an abbreviation. .

2. A question mark is used at the end of a question. ?

3. The exclamation mark is used at the end of an exclamatory sentence. It is used
to show when we speak loudly, angry, or surprised feelings. !

4.A comma is used to show a pause in reading, to separate a list of words and after
the name of the person spoken to. ,

5. An apostrophe is used to form possessives and contractions. '

6. Quotation marks are used to highlight a word or a phrase. '' ''

6. A colon is used before lists, explanations.
